May '09 Editor of Vatican newspaper says ‘Obama is not pro-abortion’ - "The Editor-in-chief of the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano explained today to Paulo Rodari, a Vatican analyst for the daily 'Il Riformista,' that President Barack Obama’s speech to graduates of Notre Dame was very respectful and that he 'is not a pro-abortion president.'" Commentary: It is a grave error to say "Obama is not pro-abortion." Throughout his entire political career he has always voted for, and believed in, “a woman’s right to choose." However, like others who share his beliefs he never finishes that sentence. What he really means is a woman has the "right" to put her unborn child (a human being) to death through a deliberate abortion.
Therefore, he is without question, "pro-abortion." He is also a master politician and a great deceiver. He may say is “open” to discussing abortion, but like President Clinton and other Democrats he will not change his mind about his belief that it should be "allowed." Obama has yet to go against the will of the majority of his political party that has for many years believed in “abortion rights,” so why should we believe he will do so in the future?
The "Bill of Rights" in the US Constitution clearly states that we are “created” equal and not “born” equal. However, Obama's interpretation is quite different, as is his interpretation of the Commandment: "Thou shalt not kill."
One speech does not make a politician believable - only his deeds. The only reason Obama now "appears" to be open to discussions about abortion is he sees the tide turning against abortion in the US and he, like other “pro-abortion” politicians, is concerned about his popularity and remaining in a position of power.
Obama is a master politician; be careful about believing his actions will back up his words.

Bishop Robert Finn, of Kansas City-St. Joseph Says Obama's Address Halted Dialogue - "He noted the president's support for the Prevention First Act, which is 'not about abstinence education' but rather about 'promoting contraception and giving Planned Parenthood a huge blank check. If Catholics don't see a problem with this,' said Bishop Finn, 'then I don't think they understand the threat it represents to the meaning of marriage, to fidelity, to chastity, to the very sanctity of human life and intimate love.'"
Commentary: Where is the disapproval of the remaining bishops? There are over 400 active and retired bishops in the United States - why the silence and lack of unity on the subject of this great scandal?
Bishops are "rulers" within the Church. Have they forgotten the judgment that awaits those who rule? (This includes those like President Obama who are leaders of nations):
"Horribly and speedily will he (God) appear to you, for a most severe judgment shall be for them that bear rule. For to him that is little, mercy is granted, but the mighty shall be mightily tormented. For God will not except any man's person, neither will he stand in awe of any man's greatness, for he made the little and the great and he hath equally care of all. But a greater punishment is ready for the more mighty." (Wisdom 6:6-9).
Jan.'09 Bush proclaims National Sanctity of Life Day - "All human life is a gift from our Creator that is sacred, unique, and worthy of protection," said President Bush in proclaiming January 18 National Sanctity of Life Day. Commentary: Perhaps the most influential pro-life decision made by any President, this will help put to shame President-elect Obama and his wife who are decidedly anti-life. Any future pro-abortion proclamations made by the arrogant, "Great Deceiver" Barack Obama, will now be met with even greater opposition. He will be exposed as the hypocrite he really is, and an anti-American (going against a new American "tradition") should he attempt to appeal to pro-life Americans, while continuing to pursue his evil intentions and satisfy other morally corrupt anti-life politicians who make up the majority of the Democratic Party.
Jan. '09 How Support for Abortion Became Kennedy Dogma - "Until the clerics begin to counter the pro-choice claims made by high-profile Catholics such as Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden... faithful Catholics will continue to be bewildered by their pastoral silence." Commentary: Many leaders in the Church seem incapable of saying "yes or no," but rather, seek appeasement which only adds to the moral confusion many Catholic laypeople are experiencing. A severe judgment awaits the clergy who are lukewarm. They do not fear God, are unwilling to accept correction, and prefer to continue to play the role of a hypocritical Pharisee rather then a Shepherd who truly loves Christ and His Church.
