PREVIOUSLY FEATURED IMPORTANT ARCHIVED NEWS ARTICLES & COMMENTARIES

Commentary: No more freedom of speech on Facebook or Twitter that shows its members the killing and violence being committed by Muslims.  vtb

Commentary: Love truly did conquer all with these loving parents.  vtb

Commentary: Contrary to her belief on the matter of faith, it actually comes about through our will and intellect.  vtb

Commentary: This is not something those who believe in the "right to kill" an unborn human being would want the public to know.  vtb

Commentary: This is being done with the approval of Pope Francis who to date has notadmonished those liberals in the Church who are involved with those lies and attacks against a truly good man.   vtb

Commentary: Pope Francis apparently does not care for anyone who has conservative or traditional values. Therefore Cardinal Burke and President Trump are not on his "best friends" list.  Francis wants things his way and even goes to the extreme of calling them "populists," although this description fits him to a greater degree than Burke or Trump.  vtb

Commentary: Why was it necessary for a group of cardinals to express their "support" for the pope unless there is a movement that is gaining strength in its efforts to oppose his at times, irrational thinking?  vtb

Commentary: Pope Francis, without question, already is already DIVISIVE and has caused untold harm to the unity of the Church.  vtb

--------------

Commentary: It is ironic that the Holy Bible teaches us that when you do the LORD'S WORK, you will be persecuted. However, rather than Pope Francis, the persecution is being felt by President Trump and Pope Francis is contributing to it.  vtb

Commentary: A severe betrayal and erosion of Catholic values started with the revisions to the Mass in the 1960's.  vtb

Commentary: Far Left Democrats, who are guilty of approving of the mass murder of millions of unborn human beings, are morally unfit to represent or lead our country in any capacity.  vtb

Commentary: One of the consequences of a sinful lifestyle.  vtb

Commentary: In today's world, and even in the Church, we are being asked to "tolerate" evil using a false definition of "Mercy" that ignores JUSTICE and SIN.  vtb

Commentary: Correction: It is not "Christian" to be critical of a country that has the right to protect itself, nor is it Christian to encourage and approve of illegal immigrants breaking the border laws of another country.  vtb

Commentary: It is hypocritical to claim it to be a "Reformation" when it resulted in divisions, confusion, and hundreds (if not thousands) of new doctrines, Bible interpretations and questionable teachings.  vtb

Commentary: Europeans complain to their government leaders about too many Muslims, but fail to complain to their bishops about the decline of Christianity.  vtb

Commentary: This is either a poor translation  or a poor manner of explaining such a grave  subject.  A more simple and plain way of expressing his thoughts would have been far more beneficial to the general public.  vtb

Commentary: Democrats have been spreading these lies for months without any evidence to support their foolish claims.  vtb

Commentary: This fact will never be printed or heard on T.V. through the main street news media.  vtb

--------------

Commentary:  President Trump is living up to his campaign promises, although much of the so-called "mainstream" media will not  acknowledge it.  Therefore, it is best to not  watch or listen to their biased broadcasts.  vtb

Commentary: A beautiful prayer from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  vtb

Commentary: Catholic writer Flannery O’Connor, using rather blunt language, tells it like it is.  But how many in the Church will hear him, and among those that do, will they take some form of peaceful, intelligent action?  vtb

Commentary: A liar attempts to destroy the reputation of a good woman simply because she sees the good Trump is doing.  A typical dirty tactic of the dysfunctional Left-Wingers whose lives are lacking peace due to their many sins.  vtb

Commentary: Although prudence is always a requirement for any type of investigation, when you delay an investigation in order to "protect" the guilty, it becomes a scandal.  vtb

Commentary: Cardinal Marx is having a very difficult time attempting to explain and justifysome of the thinking and actions of Pope Francis, and he is not being very convincing.  vtb

Commentary:Trump makes more sense on this issue than many bishops, and even the pope.  To attack the character of a man like Trump who is only trying to do his duty and protect Americans is playing dirty politics.  Trump is not  against immigration, he only wants immigrants to come into our country LEGALLY.  This is only common sense.  The self-righteous Left that have infiltrated even into the Church, should remember that a day will come when they will face the punishment God has reserved for those who fail to practice charity.  vtb

Commentary: True faith is not affected by the atheism preached by some in the scientificcommunity.  Let them believe what they choose to believe.  Many scientists place their beliefs in theories and assumptions that are without any factual basis. Their intellect is focused on what might have been, and their search for the truth is clouded by their intellectual pride.  vtb

Commentary: The Church in Italy has become liberalized, much like the Church has in other nations of the West, although some question if Italy is truly part of the "West."  For Russia to be more concerned about the moral implications of a homosexual scene in this movie than the Bishops in Italy are, shows us just how deep into the filthy mud parts of the Catholic Church has  sunk.  vtb

Commentary: "Devout" is an often misused word when describing someone seen as "deeply religious."  When you are truly devout you have a relationship with God that brings you peace and you practice charity.  Rather than describing someone as "devout" who is involved in killing people or any other type of immorality,  a better, more accurate description would be, "mentally twisted."   vtb

Commentary: A welcomed new book that teaches the danger of porn to offset the approval of porn as given to us by those who love the world far more than they love Almighty God, that is, if they have any love at all for Him.  vtb

Commentary:ABC again confirms it is run by sick minded immoral executives who choose to promote trash that many Americans find totally immoral.  However, we also continue to learn that homosexuals are not content to live out their lives in a private manner, they want more and more people to not only accept their lifestyle, but desire that more misguided Americans, especially our  young, join them and become "one of them."  vtb

Commentary: How far Google will go with its censorship remains to be seen.  While it appears to have some merit, why are pornographic  sites still allowed on Google?  Unfortunately, there is a great deal of money involved, and for worldly organization like Google, money has a very loud voice in their executive decisions.  vtb

Commentary: Sadly, many people are addicted to eating an excessive amount of food and cannot find the time, or have the will to exercise.  This is due, in a large part, to the almost daily anxieties they are experiencing.  For these poor souls, life has become very difficult and they have lost hope that things will ever change.  This is where their faith, or lack of  faith comes in.  In many cases, their relationship with the Lord has become weak, or is almost non-existent, and until they find their way back to Him, things will continue to look hopeless. vtb

Commentary: Very true, however many people today don't really care how long they live.  As mentioned in the above commentary, their lives are difficult and they are unaware of their need to put God first in their lives.   The best response is prayer, especially from family members.  vtb

Commentary: The sore losers continue to go on a rampage, and their frustrations continue to grow.  Many Democrats do not know what it is to be a good person.  They are filled with hate and want "revenge" in any way they can get it.  What a pitiful group of people they have become!  vtb

Commentary: This type of positive news will not reach very many voters due to thecensorship employed by major news outlets, but there is a smaller, but very vocal number of conservatives that WILL make it known.  vtb

Commentary: Trump's voice is being heard and some leaders of the nations of the G-20 don't like it, and some do not understand his determination to "shake up" what was previously a superficial agreement between the members of the G-20. vtb

-------------

Commentary: Finally the voices of truly fair judges came out with a clear condemnation of the 3 member panel of judges who unfairly ruled against President Trump's temporary travel ban.  This is very helpful in restoring our nation's confidence in our justice system, although there no doubt are many other poor judges still on the loose. vtb

Commentary: More nonsense from the defenders of Amoris Laetitia.  Ignored is thedivisions and confusion created by Pope Francis due to his lack of clarity in the writing of that document.  It should not take "interpreters" to explain what the Pope meant.  Statements coming from the Supreme Pontiff should always be clear and to the point. vtb

Commentary: The title of this article speaks for itself.  vtb

Commentary: Another attempt to justify immigration as if countries don't already know this.  However, "using" St. Patrick in your argument is going too far. Not mentioned of course, is the violence caused by immigrants who are not properly vetted, and the need for immigrants to come into other countries legally. There is a definite lack of balance in Archbishop Martin's weak "sermon."  vtb

Commentary: Not a complete story, but St. Patrick gives us enough glimpses of his Mission and faith to make it very interesting.  vtb

Commentary: More interesting information about this great saint.  He even endured a great scandal that turned his fellow bishops against him.  vtb

Commentary: How amazing it is to think that anyone could live only on the Eucharist!  This again confirms the sanctifying grace and the blessings that come to us if we receive Christ in a worthy manner.  vtb

Commentary: This is a 3 part series with live support and has loads of good information for caregivers.  vtb

Commentary: Not good news as far as White House security.  Hopefully this "lesson" will eliminate any future attempts from suspicious characters. A very embarrassing situation for the Secret Service.  vtb

Commentary: Catholic bishops are deaf to this kind of news in-so-far as tying it toimmigration.  They preach "love" for immigrants without looking at the need for Americans to feel protected.  How many terrorists attacks in the U.S. must take place before our bishops (and Pope Francis) realize their lack of honesty regarding illegal or uncontrolled mass immigration?  vtb

Commentary: There is a huge "fear factor" that greatly influences that "silence."  ISIS knows that Trump would intensify military actions against them and make it even more difficult for them to infiltrate into the U.S. with regular immigrants who simply want to live the lifestyles and enjoy the opportunities offered here. vtb

--------------

Commentary: Ironically, that sign was up for 10 months with no complaints until NBC got wind of the story.  NBC is not noted for being "fair & balanced" as they are easily identified as simply another arm of the immoral Democratic Party.  vtb

Commentary: This is not a very pleasant story, but it is revealing concerning the type thinking coming from a minority of Muslims. Of course, you will not see it on the major news networks.  vtb

Commentary: The laity, especially those who have been to Medjugorje are not worried about its authenticity.  It is the lack of faith among those investigating this holy place that have people worried.   vtb

Commentary: The ROSARY and MARY are our most powerful weapons since Satan hates and fears them.  However, frequent CONFESSION and receiving HOLY COMMUNION worthily, are the other two necessary parts of our spiritual armor.  They too draw fear from the many devils that are constantly on the prowl for souls so that they may drag them into Hell.  vtb

Commentary: It is always good to read labels and be cautious about anything containingartificial ingredients or overdosing on natural herbs or vitamins because that too can be very harmful. vtb

Commentary: Public Television has plenty of sponsors and does not need money from tax payers to survive.  Their programming can be very good, but they also allow profanity in the movies they broadcast and have a number of shows that are atheistic in nature, as well as a number of Left-leaning programs. They have a number of appeals to viewers that bring in a fair amount of money, so they will no be hurting too much, if at all.  vtb

Commentary: Obama never did get along with Putin.  Basically, because Putin could see right through his hypocrisy and his lack of experience in dealing with foreign affairs, and Obama knew it.  Obama's ugly pride more than any other factor, contributed to the poor relations between Russia and the United State.  vtb

Commentary: The confusion over this issue will continue until Pope Francis clarifies his position.  Sadly, it does not look like that is going to happen.  vtb

Commentary: According to every phone book I have looked at, Catholic parishes are not listed under the heading of "Christian Churches."  If that were corrected it would be a big step in clearing up that mistaken idea.  vtb

Commentary: Cardinal Nichols unwisely defends Pope Francis on this issue. Why did Francis bring up this issue at all if it won't happen?  All Pope Francis is succeeding in doing is creating more false hopes and/or confusion in the Church, especially among priests.  vtb

--------------

Commentary: The existence of human life on other planets is completely against the Sacred Scriptures.  CHRIST suffered, died, and was resurrected ONCE for all of mankind that has existed on earth since Adam and Eve.  No where in the Gospels or the Old Testament is there any mention of life in any other place but here on earth.   vtb

Commentary: History shows that King Henry VIII was not a good person. Therefore, the question remains, why would anybody in his or her right mind follow his brand of "religion"?  vtb

Commentary: Go again to Confession, but with a different priest and explain to him your concerns is the best solution. Also, before you go to Confession try to remember to ask our LORD to guide his priest so that you will receive GOD'S WORD for your soul.  In addition, pray for that priest who caused you so much anxiety, this will bring you peace.  vtb

Commentary: The answer is simple. Confront them and ask them to repent of their sin and the scandal it causes, if not excommunicate them.  But what bishop has the courage and faith to do this?  Therefore they have the GREATER SIN by participating in the scandal and allowing it.  vtb

Commentary: Misleading title - there is no "discrimination" involved.  It should remain afreedom of choice for any employer or any other citizen to refuse to be associated with someone who practices an immoral lifestyle.  This is part of "freedom of religion" and should remain so. Those who disagree are the ones who are guilty of discrimination.  vtb

Commentary: The sufferings of JESUS were so deep and intense that words cannot adequately describe them.  Yet, in today's Church, they are passed over in order for Catholics to have a "good time" at what has become a "social event" rather than the solemn, Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. This is a great scandal, but is allowed by most bishops and many, many priests.  vtb

Commentary: Francis appears to be very good at rewriting Church history to suit his own agenda.  However, he is getting away with it as very few bishops or cardinals are challenging those beliefs. vtb

Commentary: Very true, since St. Padre Pio declared that Luther was in Hell.  vtb

Commentary: Changing or revising the truths taught by the Church to "appease" other religions for the sake of "unity" was wrong, and it continues to be very wrong.  But it remains a goal of a growing portion of the clergy in the Church.  vtb

Commentary: For those who believe in God, no further proof is needed.  For those who do not believe in God, no proof is satisfactory.  vtb

Commentary: As the number of grave sins grows, Satan becomes more powerful.  We receive what we deserve.  Only our faith in CHRIST and His CHURCH will bring us the peace we desire.  vtb

Commentary: Grand Jury & Justice Dept. Federal investigation proved the police to be innocent and a robbery did in fact take place. Despite all this proof, liars continue to believe the opposite. This again shows that you cannot reason with unreasonable people. vtb

Commentary: Ireland is deep into the ways of the world.  St. Patrick would be very disappointed to see its moral decay. However, prayers can be very powerful, so there is always hope, for nothing is impossible with God.  vtb

Commentary: We must never forget what JESUS has done for us because of His great and immense love.  vtb

Commentary: Experienced truly Christian teachers can be trusted to properly guide our children.  vtb

Commentary: It is about time pro-life Trump gets the credit he deserves.  Not only from the press and Democrats, but also from the Vatican.  vtb

Commentary: "What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder" is the main reason.  Unfortunately, many couples are not brought together by the Lord, but by their own wills and uncontrollable passion.  vtb

Commentary: If approved, it could be a HUGE MISTAKE. Once you open this door, many other priests are going to request that they too be allowed to marry.  Most Protestant Ministers are married, and their ministry is much moredifficult and the number of sexual abuse cases involving minors is as great, if not greater than in the Catholic Church.  The main difference is they are not publicized.  St Paul gave us good advice when he explained the benefits of remaining single, especially in the priesthood.  The life of a priest and his ministry should be TOTALLY dedicated to the LORD, and they cannot do this if married.  vtb

Commentary: We all need reminders from time to time.  vtb

Commentary: An amazing story that helps restore the faith of those who feel they have lost much of it.   vtb

Commentary: What a humble saint!  We could learn a great deal from her in today's world which is filled with proud men and women.  vtb

"In an important address to Rome’s pastoral congress in June 2016, Pope Francis spoke of marriage and grace in a way that suggests some confusion of categories is afoot. The address became notorious for the Holy Father’s initial claim that a “great majority” of marriages are invalid. That was quickly corrected in the official record to read that a “portion” of marriages are invalid."

Commentary: If a "great majority" of marriages are truly "invalid," that would mean those couples should not be allowed to receive Holy Communion.  Pope Francis quickly corrected himself, but deep down, did he actually mean what he originally said?  vtb

Commentary: Father Cantalamessa goes deep into explaining the "virtues" of Luther's actions and the resulting "Reformation."  However, he over complicates the messages he wishes to give us and leaves out much of the truth to satisfy Pope Francis's pursuit of a false "unity."  Nowhere does he mention: "But some man will say: Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without works; and I will shew thee, by works, my faith."  (James 2:18).  Nor does he mention: "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" (James 2:20)  vtb

Commentary: The above is a more accurate, truthful account of the Reformation and Martin Luther.  The last paragrah (#87) speaks well of the writer's wisdom: "Protestants today are not responsible for division brought about by their ancestors."  vtb

Commentary: Love has many sides.  The sufferings of these couples is hard to watch. They are in need of so much prayer!   vtb

Commentary: Very bad example.  This is another reason people go to Mass dressed in sub-casual, "Saturday" clothes, and women choose not to wear a headdress - the respect due  the Presence of the Lord at Mass has greatly diminished and now Francis wants to diminish the respect due his Holy Office.  vtb

Commentary: Some of this is old news, Republicans are not finished with their attempt to pass their new health care law.  The biggest blow to Obama's ego and the arrogant0 press will be repealing and replacing ObamaCare.  Then the memory of Obama's so called "accomplishments" will gradually fade away.  All we can say is good riddance!  vtb

Commentary: Catholics may not be able to "start a church," but there are many other ways to avoid the distractions of this world.  This article is very helpful in that regard.  vtb

Commentary: It was basically the fault of many bishops and priests that resulted in the huge numbers of divorced and remarried who failed to get an annulment.  Laypeople must have a certain fear of the Lord to follow Church teachings, but many bishops and priests have for years have only preached "mercy" and "mistakes" rather than sin and Justice.  Unfortunately, this instruction from the Holy Spirit has long been forgotten: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."  (Psalms 110:10).  vtb

Commentary: Very insightful interview with Cardinal Burke and worth your time to read it.  vtb

--------------

"An attentive and rigorous study, free of prejudice and polemics, enables the churches, now in dialogue, to discern and receive all that was positive and legitimate in the Reformation, while distancing themselves from errors, extremes and failures, and acknowledging the sins that led to the division."
Commentary: We must not be free of the TRUTH either.  Pope Francis has again fallen into grave error by ignoring the truth about Luther for the sake of a false "unity."  vtb

Commentary: It is not difficult for any reasonable, morally good person to realize that abortion is MURDER.  It is a scientific fact that when a "being" exists in the womb, it is HUMAN, no matter what the stage of development.  vtb

Commentary: California continues to be the "land of fruits & nuts," and that will not change as long as its voters elect Democrats or weak Republicans to lead them.  vtb

Commentary: It is these bishops that should be "persecuted" for preaching such heresy to their flock.  How disgusting is their immoral behavior.  No doubt Pope Francis will remain silent and not admonish them, but what else is new?  vtb

"For those who do not remember, Terri, at the age of 26, experienced a still unexplained collapse while at home alone with her husband, Michael Schiavo, which resulted in a severe brain injury. Despite widespread characterizations that suggested she was near death in the years after her injury, Terri was not dying, and did not suffer from any life-threatening disease. She was neither on machines, nor was she “brain dead.”

Commentary: This proves again, that for those who follow the teachings of the Islamic Faith, true justice is not part of their thinking - they don't even know what it means.  vtb

Commentary: When a Pope is not familiar with the teachings of any religion, he should not speak on that religion without first studying it, that is only common sense.  vtb

"The name of Jesus was the last word that came out of his lips.  As in the passion of the first martyrs, they have relied on the hands of the One who was soon to receive them.  And so they have celebrated their victory, the victory that no murderer can take away from them. "That whispered name at the last moment is like the seal of their martyrdom."

Commentary: The devil is not bound by the teachings of a particular religion, even Catholicism.  Therefore, in actuality, this man has not become not a follower of Islam, but a follower of the devil.  vtb

Commentary: Satan is very cleaver, and he knows how to influence people to take "one step at a time" in order to accomplish his corrupt will.  His greatest "enjoyment" is to lead people into Hell where their punishment is eternal.  vtb

Commentary: Adding 9 or 10 trillion dollars to the national debt is not a "domestic policy" anyone should support.  vtb

Commentary: True, but a number of states WILL stop funding Planned Parenthood.  And that is good start, the rest will come through Republican House and Senate legislation.  vtb

Commentary: The writer of this article does not appear to know what he is talking about and apparently is following the "preaching" of the biased, liberal press.  Trump has only been in office a short time and has done great things for the pro-life movement and our country.  A bad, biased article that should never have been allowed to be published.  vtb

"We cannot fail to notice that, as a result of this reform, the focus of the Mandatum was suddenly switched to the Protestant “priesthood of the laity,” while that of the ordained minister is constantly being undermined."

"Our Lord Himself tells the man when He later encounters him in the Temple: “Behold, thou are made whole: sin no more, lest some worse thing happen to thee.”  By these words, writes Father Haydock, “the Saviour shows his infirmity was sent in punishment of sin.” By his faith the man had been cleansed of his sins and granted the divine favor of a miraculous cure.  Yet Francis portrays him as a lazy lout who takes his cure for granted, like the free oxygen in the air."

Commentary: That is debatable.  Many will disagree.  They will confirm that the current Church crisis is the greatest the Church has ever faced.  vtb

"For my part, I know that all the great moments of my day are found in the incomparable hours that I spend on my knees in darkness before the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I am so to speak swallowed up in God and surrounded on all sides by His presence. I would like to belong now to God alone and to plunge into the purity of His Love. And yet, I can tell how poor I am, how far from loving the Lord as He loved me to the point of giving Himself up for me."

Commentary: Bishop Tobin may have had some bad experiences in regard to this issue, but it is always better to give and let our Lord, who judges our intentions, also judge the beggar.  vtb

Commentary: The US bishops appear to be very prejudiced against President Trump on the matter of immigration.  Trump has said many times that he is not against immigration, he only want immigrants to come to the US legally.  And his desired "ban" is only TEMPORARY.  How much more "proof"  do our biased bishops and Pope Francis need?  vtb

--------------

"The twentieth century was one of the most crucial in human history, with its tragic and cruel events culminating in the assassination attempt on the “sweet Christ on earth”. Now a veil is drawn back on a series of events which make history and interpret it in depth, in a spiritual perspective alien to present-day attitudes, often tainted with rationalism."

"The sins of the world are very great."  "If men knew what eternity is, they would do everything to change their lives."  "Men are lost because they do not think of the death of Our Lord and do not do penance."  "Many marriages are not good; they do not please Our Lord, and they are not of God."  "The sins that lead more souls to hell are the sins of the flesh."  "Fashions that will greatly offend Our Lord will appear. People who serve God should not follow fashions. The Church has no fashions. Our Lord is always the same."

Commentary: Contrary to Pope Francis, Mother Angelica and many other holy people knew the spiritual benefits of the Latin Mass.  vtb

"Christianity has played a central role in the development of capitalism, which has lifted millions of people out of poverty throughout the world. Calling for fewer people in the world and denouncing capitalism are not the answers to today’s problems, no matter the good intentions of a pontiff trying to be in touch with the times."

Commentary: I am somewhat familiar with this bishop.  He (like Obama) speaks about race issues but he always centers on what Whites are doing wrong.  I have never read anything by him that addresses the vast numbers of crimes being committed by Blacks.  A very one-sided approach that solves nothing.  Only when Blacks start to look at themselves and stop pointing fingers at Whites will we begin to solve our race issues.  vtb

Archbishop Sheen: "Who is going to save our Church?  Not our bishops, not our priests and religious, said Abp. Sheen. "It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops, like bishops, and your religious act like religious."

Commentary: Trump has done a great deal thus far for the Pro-Life Movement.  Sadly, the news media and millions of disgusting Democrats are angry about his accomplishments because they believe you have "the right to kill" unborn human beings.  However, causing the greatest scandal is Pope Francis and the Vatican for not giving credit to Trump due to Francis's objections to Trump's desire to build a wall.  vtb

Commentary: The British historically are used to leadership roles and their departure from the European Union should restore their confidence in being an independent leader in the Free World.  vtb

Commentary: This may prove to be beneficial to the Trump Administration since Hillary is not too popular among many  Democrats who believe she ran a poor campaign for the Presidency.  Her power-hungry attitude will only get her into more trouble with voters.  President Trump, with the aid of our prayers will be able to counter any "jabs" Hillary may choose to take at him.  vtb

"This link between Good Friday and the Church is woven throughout our Christian tradition. St. Augustine wrote, “There it was that the gate of life was opened, from there the sacraments of the Church flow; without these one does not enter true life.”

Commentary: Trump continues to try and live up to the promises he made when running for President.  Unfortunately, a small group of Republicans are determined to have their way with his proposed health care program and that affects Trump's budget too.  Perhaps they are correct in their thinking and Trump's health care program will be much improved, and in time everything will come together.  We will have to wait and see.  vtb

"On Tuesday, High Court Justice Francis gave the hospital permission to do so, arguing that removing Charlie’s life support and allowing him to die is in his best interest."

Commentary: An incredible injustice by a morally corrupt British judge.   vtb

Commentary: To modify or change your position is not a bad thing.  It means that you are flexible when conditions change and you began to see more of what you originally desired.  vtb

Commentary: A somewhat biased and inaccurate article, but that is not surprising as it was written by a writer working for the biased left-wing New York Times.  But why worry?  Trump and his supporters are not as rigid as those who are of a liberal persuasion - it is well known that they are very inflexible and only "liberal" when its suits their goals.  vtb

Commentary: Whether it was necessary or not to drop this huge bomb is up for debate.  However, it may have had an important psychological effect.  ISIS is made up of killers who are not persuaded by talk of "peace" or "brotherhood."  ISIS, like all those who believe they have a "right to kill" in the name of God, as we have witnessed, is only persuaded by the use of forceful means that causes them to fear their "enemies."  vtb

Commentary: Although it broadcasts very informative programs, PBS also has long been broadcasting liberal programs along with atheistic documentaries that are not suitable for younger or older people who are either learning, or already have Christian beliefs.  This is also true in their news broadcasts.  Therefore, we must be very careful in our selections of the programming they offer.  vtb

Commentary: It is sad that these women have become brainwashed by writings in their Quran that are not inspired by the Holy Spirit, but by the devil.  vtb

Commentary: This so-called "political Party" appears to be more of a misguided "cult," therefore its opinions are not worthy of respect.  vtb

"The suffering was far more than most imagine — so severe even before He reached Calvary, she (Anne Catherine Emmerich) says, that only supernatural ministering kept Him from expiring previous to making His way to the Cross."

Commentary: The immense sufferings of JESUS cannot be explained in words. The sins of mankind since Adam to the very last man on earth He took upon Himself to  redeem us and reconcile us to the Father.  We, however, having knowledge of His great sufferings should not add to them any more than we already have.  We must re-establish our relationship with Our Savior and make every effort to keep a good relationship with JESUS through frequent Confessions, the Holy Rosary, and receiving Him through the Eucharist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as often as possible.  vtb

"In her book called The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, mystic Anne Catherine Emmerich asserted that what Jesus suffered at Gethsemane, in the famous instance the night before His Crucifixion, was far greater than what’s described in Scripture — that beyond mere anticipation of His own death, the Lord was forced to enter into fierce spiritual combat with the devil."

Commentary: Satan is always at work trying to tempt us to do things that cause us to sin.  If those sins are very serious and we are indifferent to changing our life and confessing them, we could lose our soul and spend eternity in Hell.  Not a very pleasant thought, but something we should be thinking about from time to time.  vtb

"St. Francis and St. Padre Pio are two much loved saints that bore the wounds of Christ.  But how many know about Father Don Dolindo Ruotolo, a contemporary of Padre Pio, who was also a stigmatist?"

Commentary: A "back handed" compliment, but still a good sign that China recognizes we are no longer a "paper tiger."  vtb

Commentary: Again, "actions speak louder than words" and China has relearned the United States will use its power when it feels it is necessary to protect its citizens.  vtb

"Kim Jong-un, the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is a madman; a twisted, diabolical, murdering, circus act dwarf who is holding a nation of 25 million hostage, terrorizing a peninsula and threatening war with the world’s greatest superpower."

Commentary: Using descriptions like "circus act dwarf" amounts to ridicule, and is not something that a writer should use because it makes him no better than the person he is criticizing.   vtb

"Members of the North Carolina General Assembly introduced a bill on Tuesday, citing the 10th Amendment, which affirms that the U.S. Supreme Court exceeded its authority under the Constitution and in relation to the "decree of Almighty God" by legalizing same-sex marriage, and contends that the Obergefell v. Hodges decision "is null and void" in North Carolina and that the Tar Heel state shall only recognize marriages between one man and one woman."

Commentary: A good example that should be followed by every state in the Union.  vtb

Commentary: Turkey cannot be trusted to pursue the truth and its "voice" is not always welcomed in world affairs.  vtb

Commentary: Any sane person would know by now that the Islamic religion is a dangerous, false religion, but sanity appears to be lacking in some of our Church leaders, including some at the Vatican.  vtb

Commentary: Unfortunately, there are no signs that Pope Francis will change, his fate is in the Hands of the Lord.  vtb

"The Pope Emeritus, who turns 90 on Easter Sunday, has taken note of the controversies surrounding the document and how it has been implemented."

Commentary: No doubt, Benedict has strong feelings of disagreement about what Pope Francis has written and is doing, but he does not feel it beneficial to the Church to further add to the confusion and divisions it is currently undergoing.  vtb

"Nor is it surprising that since the 1955 reforms, the faithful have been continually shaken and rendered uncertain in their faith in the Church as the one Ark of Salvation, with the result that most Catholics have become either indifferent or hostile to this truth."

Commentary: Very well stated and it cannot be said enough.  vtb

"Peter Seewald has been conducting long talks with Joseph Ratzinger / Benedict XVI for 25 years. The publicist finds that the emeritus pope in his homeland is not yet appreciated enough."

Commentary: An excellent article that reveals a lot about this good pope.  vtb

Commentary: This proves again that you cannot reason with unreasonable anti-life people.  vtb

Commentary: Very much needed advice to counteract the lies being given to us through Democrats who control the press, although some in the Church may be equally guilty.  vtb

Commentary: True faith is diminishing, and atheism is growing among many in the West, but many Church leaders are confused as how to solve the problem.  Praying the Mass with sincere devotion by priests is the best solution, but that is not being addressed by our spiritually lukewarm, political bishops.  vtb

"Who knew that the Pony Express was founded with a presumption that its riders would be Christian?"

--------------

Commentary: Some people may disagree with Trump on his decision to bomb Syria, but Russia understands power and forceful actions.  Unfortunately, this is currently the only way to persuade them to rethink their actions.  vtb

Commentary: Trump has a magnetic personality, while Obama came across as immature and insincere.  Thats the difference between diplomacy and hypocrisy.  vtb

Commentary: Trump is not foolish enough to tip off the enemy as to his next military move, as did Obama.   vtb

Commentary: While very hopeful to hear, Cardinal Muller is unfortunately only one voice among many in the Vatican & elsewhere who are offering opinions to the contrary, and that includes Pope Francis.  vtb

Commentary: Great interview covering President Trump and the current state of the Church.  vtb

Commentary: Just as horrible are those who approve (US Democratic Party) of these gruesome activities.  vtb

“We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy … We thank God for the strength He has given all of us.”

"Not only do they taste really nice, but did you know that olives have a huge number of health benefits for you too?"

Commentary: At last another bishop with common sense.  When someone commits a crime and you hide him from the police, you become an accomplice to that crime.  Therefore, how can any bishop approve of this?   vtb

Commentary: More sewage coming from some of the misguided leadership at the Vatican.  vtb

--------------

Commentary: Pope Francis previously stated: “Yes, every country has the right to control its borders, who comes and who goes and those countries at risk —from terrorism or such things— have even more right to control them more.”  The Pope made these comments to Spanish newspaper El Pais (Jan 23, 2017) just days after the inauguration of American President Donald Trump

Therefore if a country has that "right," it must be that it has the right to prevent ILLEGAL immigrants from entering their country.  It is wrong to attempt to change a definition simply to promote your own display of "compassion."  Hopefully, Francis will come to realize his form of compassion has caused great confusion and terror to many European nations.  There comes a point when "compassion" can become foolishness.  vtb

CommentaryHard-hearted Hillary again shows her disgust for those who want to save the lives of unborn human beings, rather than sentencing them to a cruel death through an abortion.  vtb

"In January 2016, Azalea’s family learned she had rhabdomyosarcoma, a type of soft tissue cancer. They traveled from their home in Jamaica to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “We were familiar with St. Jude because of their commercials,” said Azalea’s mom, Simone. “We knew St. Jude was the best possible place for a child with cancer, and that’s what we wanted for her.” At St. Jude, Azalea’s treatment has included surgery and chemotherapy."

"As an international Catholic charity under the guidance of the Holy Father, Aid to the Church in Need’s mission is to help suffering and persecuted faithful worldwide."

Commentary: This so-called "honor" means nothing.  A handful of liberal editors decide who should be on the list, while TIME'S misguided readers are not given a voice.  Another silly, worthless way to get the public's attention and sell more magazines.  vtb

"Tradition itself is regarded with suspicion as that which confines us in error rather than that which maintains us in the truth...In his remarks to a colloquium on the tenth anniversary of Summorum Pontificum, he speaks of “a horrible, outrageous thing that seem[s] like the desire for ... a complete break with the Church’s past” – as if “the apostolic Church and the Christian communities in the early centuries of Christianity understood nothing of the Gospel,” as if the Gospel has remained all but unrecognized until our own time, as if it were “only in our era" that the plan of salvation brought by Jesus has been understood.”

"The cardinal speaks with clarity and firmness. Reading his new book-length interview gave me renewed hope in the Church's mission."

Commentary: Shielding homosexual crimes has become common in the press since editors and reporters find no faul in that type of immoral lifestyle.  vtb

"Unfortunately for the unity of society, while the first five sciences (mathematics, astronomy, physics, chemistry, biology) were, and still are, universally accepted, the final two (sociology and ethics) never became truly scientific. In those two fields, private judgment continues to prevail today, more than 150 years after Comte made his noble but futile attempt to turn them into sciences. The Religion of Humanity never came about. Moral and intellectual anarchy continue to flourish."

--------------

Commentary: The once beautiful and safe city of Paris is now suffering the loss of its image as a tourist attraction.  This of course is partially due to its uncontrolled immigration policy, but mainly due to its loss of faith.  You cannot expect the Lord's angels to protect you if you have very little, or no love for the Lord.  However, perhaps this terrible incident will awaken the people of France to return to the Church and truly practice their faith.  vtb

"What are, in particular, the duties of our Guardian Angels?

Commentary: Trump chooses to, as much as possible, keep silent as to his military options in order to keep the enemy off guard.  Hopefully, the press will aid him in this and not reveal too much that will give that enemy an advantage.  vtb

Commentary: Homosexuals couples do not in any way, represent a "family."  Practicing homosexuals are living an unnatural lifestyle that the Lord calls an "abomination."   We must never place the word of man before the Word of Almighty God.  vtb

Commentary: Ann Coulter is usually right, but she is not above making mistakes and turning on her fellow Conservatives.  On this issue (calling Trump a pawn of the "Washington establishment") she is definitely wrong. Trump
has enough on his shoulders without Coulter unnecessarily  adding to it.  vtb

Commentary: This is not surprising since a great number of people in the media are dysfunctional Democrats.  vtb

"The archaeological elements described agree with the documentary data of the Gospels, as in Matthew 27, Mark 15-16, Luke 24, and John 19-20. That is why it is legitimate to suppose that this is in fact the tomb of Jesus."

Commentary: Led by corrupt Democrats, California residents complained about Trump on the messy issue of immigration.  However, it appears they should have cleaned their own house first.  vtb

Commentary: We have many lukewarm priests who "say," rather than PRAY the Mass.  They seek to please the "crowd," rather than the Lord, and although the Mass in local languages is still a valid Mass, it leaves many parishioners with an empty feeling because it is no longer prayed with true devotion.  vtb

Commentary: Under Pope Francis, the Church is no longer  ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC, AND APOSTOLIC.  It has been torn in two and left to following opinions, rather than following Church Dogma and Canon Law.  vtb

Commentary: Many things have to be put in order within the Church before one can understand those who are considered "outside" the Church with some of their teachings.  vtb

Commentary: Pope Francis does many good things, but he has been off center on a number of moral issues.  That does not mean all Conservatives do not "love" him, they simply do not like some of his positions that run contrary to Church doctrine and/or contrary to what a good Christian believes.  He deserves, and does receive many prayers, but to date has not responded to the grace given to him by our Lord.  vtb

Commentary: Insanity. Who in their right mind would follow such "irreligious" leaders?  vtb

Commentary: Immorality breeds immorality.  vtb

Commentary: Pope Francis and his friend, former President Obama have done a great deal of damage to the public's ability to discern right and wrong in regard to Islam.  Therefore, many potential terrorists are waiting for the proper time to carry out their evil deeds.  However, more and more people are finally waking up to this misguided way of thinking due to the solid leadership of President Trump, who has given them a renewed hope.  vtb

"In the years that followed Vatican II, I became once again aware of the priority of God and of the divine liturgy. The misunderstanding of the liturgical reform that has spread widely in the Catholic Church led to putting ever more in first place the aspect of instruction and that of one's own activity and creativity. The action of men led almost to forgetting of the presence of God."

Commentary: Regardless of the "warnings" Russia & China issue, the United States under Trump's leadership, will do what is necessary to prevent a guided missile attack against America.  We are no longer a "paper tiger."  vtb

--------------

Commentary: China is still deeply entrenched in Communism.  Therefore, it cannot be trusted to do God's Holy Will until the Lord intervenes.  But that will not happen without an increased number of prayers by Christians.  vtb

Commentary: A sign of hope that reveals a recognition of the growing faith in Russia due to the prayers of many Christians across the world, although caution is still recommended due to Putin's corrupt past as head of the KGB.  vtb

"We are fighting for the right of all citizens to enjoy safety and peace, and to work and live with the dignity that all children of God are entitled to know."

Commentary: An inspiring talk given by a man who has been revealing his good side since his election to the Presidency.  Another good sign for the many Christians who were demoralized under the atheistic Obama.  vtb

Commentary: Muslims are fooling a lot of people, including Pope Francis.  But a time will come when those who are fooled will face reality, and then their previously inflated pride will bring them embarrassment, shame and possibly terror.  vtb

Commentary: This horrific loss of life has largely gone unnoticed by selfish, arrogant people in the media, who are only concerned with attacking Republicans and not the tragic state of many millions of people in Africa.  vtb

"Francis’ opening was part of his mercy-before-doctrine drive, which welcomes outcasts to the church rather than use dogma to keep people out. But for conservative Catholics, it was another reason to feel aggrieved, after Francis appeared to suggest in 2015 that Lutherans could receive Catholic Communion, and, when asked about gay people in 2013, said, "Who am I to judge?"

Commentary: Church dogma has never kept good people out of the Church, and you do not ignore dogma to appease someone's false idea of "compassion."  How deep this controversy goes depends upon "the Pope of Confusion," Pope Francis.  It is his misguided liberal thinking that brought the Church into a state of confusion and divisions.  Hopefully, he will soon recognize his errors and restore peace to the Church.  vtb

Commentary: Some mental illnesses are the result of natural causes that are unavoidable.  However, many are the result of a lack of prayer and trust in Almighty God.  A good relationship with our Lord JESUS is essential for obtaining a healthy mind.  We all sin, but we need the humility to acknowledge and confess our sins and that is the greatest mental cure we can experience, for it brings us the peace we desire and need.  vtb

Commentary: It was only a matter of time before some leaders began to regard Pope Francis's "interference" in the internal affairs of their country to be unwarranted.  Although Francis is  correct with many of his insights regarding the affairs of a number of countries, he also is very misguided concerning the issues and internal affairs of some other countries.  His lack of understanding of the problems connected with uncontrolled  immigration is one of those issues.  vtb

--------------

Commentary: We really don't know if Jesus is "coming soon," but the main thing is we keep our souls as clean as possible and be ready when our time comes to leave this earth.  vtb

Commentary: Cardinal Burke has a difficult role.  He does not want to create a schism or contribute to any harmful attacks against Pope Francis, so he is trying to be patient and wait for what he believes is the best opportunity to truly "connect" with Francis and hopefully persuade him to clarify his position.  While doing this Burke reluctantly must make excuses as to why the delay in his "promise" to issue the "correction" to Francis.  Since this issue is so important to devout Catholics, it is becoming more and more difficult to wait on Burke, who feels he must wait on Francis.  vtb

"In approximately 33 AD, Jesus of Nazareth was condemned to death, crucified on Mount Golgotha and buried in a tomb that had been excavated in a nearby garden. After three days he rose from the dead. From this moment the Tomb of the Resurrection became the central place of faith for all Christianity."

Commentary: Father Martin is blinded by his ego and therefore unable to possess any wisdom concerning the issues he chooses to blame Trump for.  But fair is fair, and therefore he, himself, should be put to shame for his ugly pride, lack of priestly spirituality, and disgracing the priesthood.   vtb

Commentary: Like many, Bill Nye uses his theories to present them as "facts," but he fools no one who is a true Christian.  vtb

"it isn’t just Christians, but anyone and everyone who regularly reaps the incalculable benefits of Western civilization that should be grateful for the fact that Jesus of Nazareth walked among us.  In virtually every conceivable way, Jesus, courtesy of the legions of disciples that He spawned throughout the centuries, has made the world that we take for granted."

"From the descent of Christ to hell we may learn, for our instruction, four things..."

"Whatever the reason, moral or strategic, Trump acted. And effectively reset his entire foreign policy.

"Of all the religions of the world, only Christianity claims an empty tomb for its founder. The physical resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of Christianity."

"Taken from THE PASSION AND DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST, Redemptorist Fathers, 1927 with Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur."

Commentary: Can Mr. Paul really be trusted?  Does he promote the fact he is a Libertarian who follows some things Satanists believe?  vtb

“One of the fundamental [goals] should be that America exists to fight for the most vulnerable,” Sasse continued. “That should not be a Republican or a Democratic proposition. That should be an American proposition. And that should be a human proposition.”

"Many public documents from the time spoke of the need for social and republican virtues within the populace such as justice (i.e., obeying the law), moderation, benevolence, temperance, industry, frugality, religious piety, and a responsibility among the people’s representatives to secure their good. In times of war, however, virtues of strength such as courage, leadership, bravery, vigor, and manly exertion are required. “Virtue is of concern to government not as an end in itself, but as a means to security and ultimately to happiness,” West concludes."

"We are witnessing the emergence of a dangerous new norm for responding to speakers who challenge campus orthodoxy. Anyone offended by the speaker can put out a call on Facebook to bring together students and locals, including ‘antifa’ (antifascist) and black-bloc activists who explicitly endorse the use of violence.... Because of flagrant ‘concept creep,’ however, almost anyone who is politically right of center can be labeled a racist or a fascist, and the promiscuous use of such labels is now part of the standard operating procedure."

"Solidarity HealthShare, a medical cost-sharing plan, looks to restore and rebuild an authentic Catholic healthcare system that respects the Church’s teachings, including the sanctity of human life, according to the group’s website."

"A number of its European neighbors fared even worse than Germany with regards to their security ratings in the report, with France ranking 67th and the UK 78th."

"In an interview with LifeSiteNews earlier this month, Blackwell was quoted as saying that the Obama administration's "aggressive LGBT agenda will be unhinged."  "My anticipation is that we will see an executive order and it will be more than window dressing," Blackwell said. "We will have to be very meticulous in how we dismantle it."

"President wanted to show action on key promises before 100-day mark, but Mexico’s Peña Nieto and Canada’s Trudeau urged him not to withdraw from accord."

Commentary: The so-called "100-day mark" is meaningless.  It's an imagined number that has no strict meaning.  All depends upon the Congress and the unity of a political Party.  What really counts is the 4-year or 8-year mark in terms of accomplishments.  vtb

COMMENTARY: THESE CRAZED ANIMALS SHOULD BE OUTLAWED. ANY DOG THAT KILLS ADULTS AS WELL AS YOUNG CHILDREN SHOULD BE PUT DOWN. THERE ARE FAR TOO MANY DEATHS RESULTING FROM THESE VICIOUS DOGS. MANY DOGS ARE MISTREATED, BUT THEY DON'T KILL PEOPLE.  EXCUSING PIT BULLS BECAUSE YOU EITHER DO, OR KNOW OF SOMEONE WHO TREATS HIS PIT BULL WELL, IS NOT AN LEGITIMATE EXCUSE.  THOSE THAT DISAGREE SHOULD EXPLAIN THEIR REASONS TO THE SPOUSE OF AN ADULT OR PARENT OF THE NEXT CHILD THAT DIES FROM BEING ATTACKED BY ONE.  vtb

"Research from DogsBite.org shows that during the 12-year period from 2005 to 2016, canines killed 392 Americans. Pit bulls and rottweilers accounted for 76% (297) of these deaths. During the 20-year government study period of 1979 to 1998, 238 dog bite-related fatalities with breed information was studied. The combination of pit bulls and rottweilers accounted for 50% (120) of these deaths."

"This would mean ‘all parties would bear the consequences, with Pyongyang sure to suffer the greatest losses,’ the paper said.  It comes amid claims Pyongyang is capable of creating as many as eight new nuclear weapons a year."

"We (America) have ballistic missile ships in the Sea of Japan that are capable of defending against ballistic attacks."

"President Donald Trump aims to pressure North Korea into dismantling its nuclear, ballistic missile and proliferation programs, and is engaging the international community to achieve that and persuade Kim Jong Un’s government “to de-escalate and return to the path of dialogue.”

"While the revised version still does not fully repeal Obamacare, we are prepared to support it to keep our promise to the American people to lower healthcare costs," the Freedom Caucus said in a statement.  "We look forward to working with our Senate colleagues to improve the bill. Our work will continue until we fully repeal Obamacare."

"To restore SSPX clergy to full communion with Rome while letting them cross their fingers behind their backs on religious freedom (and ecumenism) when they make the profession of faith and take the oath of fidelity would, by a bizarre ultra-traditionalist route, enshrine a “right to dissent” within the Church."

Commentary: Pope Francis has made it very clear that he is not a "traditionalist," therefore a complete reconciliation does not seem possible during his reign.  Francis, although he says and does many good things, sees things from a far more rigid, liberal view and that prevents him from agreeing with those who believe strongly in the teachings of popes and saintly people who were firm in following Church doctrines and the Holy Bible.  vtb

"Once again, the laity must take the lead in speaking the truth about our situation while the members of the upper hierarchy maintain a timid attitude of reserve or, in the case of the many progressives among them, actively further the Bergoglian debacle.  May Our Lady of Fatima soon come to our rescue. For it is certain there is no help on the way from the Princes of the Church."

"A deliberate misstatement of the issue designed to conceal the real issue. The real issue is not whether the Pope seeks to “change Revelation,” as if that were possible, but rather whether AL Chapter 8 undermines the revealed truth concerning the indissolubility of marriage and the universally binding, exceptionless character of the negative precepts of the natural law, including the Sixth Commandment."

Commentary: This is already going on in the Church.  Confusion and divisions are now common.  The exceptions being when Francis wants something done quickly.  He then takes "command," but not for "unity" in the Church, only to satisfy his own personal desires.  vtb

"The full list of Tier 1 countries of particular concern includes: Burma, China, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, with the addition of Central African Republic, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Syria, and Vietnam this year.  The countries on the Tier 2 list are: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Cuba, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Laos, Malaysia, and Turkey."

“I see a lot of love in Christianity, I see a lot of anger and hate in Islam,” stated my anonymous Iranian-American interlocutor to me in his condominium building manager’s office. My interview partner related a revealing personal spiritual and geographic journey away from his boyhood Islamic faith and Iranian homeland to an adult Christian conversion in America."

"The notion that the vast majority of Muslims are moderate needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It’s not based on any evidence and it creates a host of unrealistic expectations. Most of all, it leaves us unprepared for those times when, in obedience to their faith, once “moderate” Muslims turn immoderate."

"We could go on with this list of Palestinian intellectuals who paid a high price for daring to speak the truth to Abbas and his corrupt circle on many issues: coexistence with the Jews, secularism, sexual freedom, freedom of conscience, human rights, or telling the truth about the Holocaust."

"The way Fadelle was attracted by Catholicism shows how his soul had a profound righteousness and how his adherence to Islam was merely the result of circumstances of birth and family.  He was actually prepared, once in contact with the truth, to accept it even at the cost of losing all the comforts and privileges of a high social position and suffering terrible persecution.  His and his wife’s conversions show how Muslims can convert and how many of them actually yearn, though unknowingly, for this "bread of life," which is Our Lord Jesus Christ."

"The next day, feast day of Saint Augustine, they spotted land — La Florida — and the place where Father Lopez planted a Cross still exists, the oldest continuous settlement in the U.S., seven decades before Plymouth, decades too before Jamestown — a marvel relevant to our own time, a marvel that would end up relevant through the nation’s turbulent history, and right up to the present moment."

"While Spencer does not contend that all Muslims advocate terrorism, he asserts that Islamic doctrine itself calls for terrorism and that “Anybody who has read the Quran—and more importantly, anybody who’s read the Quran and understands and has also read how it is interpreted by mainstream Islamic authorities—nobody in that position could believe that Islam is a religion of peace.”

"He tells us about Christian ("the second boy I kissed"), who two weeks after breaking up with his boyfriend bought a helium bottle, inhaled his content and sent his ex a message that he came to see him to make sure that It was him who found the corpse.  He tells us about Jared , whose physical deformity and depression have "sunk his social life" until he is reduced to three elements: "I, the gym and internet links."

"Bills to legalize euthanasia “have done very poorly” in 2017, Rita Marker, executive director of the Patients Rights Council, told Baptist Press. “That has been a shock to those who are in favor of it because they thought that all of [a] sudden the dam had burst and everything would happen for them.”

"Overall, U.S. adults with college degrees are less religious than others, but this pattern does not hold among Christians."

"When the West kicked out the Christian ethos, it kicked out the legs that supported the table of true humanism, and without He Who Must Not Be Named and his vision of the human person, liberal democracy can’t be sustained."

"If liberals really care about freedom, they would do well to take a few weekends off from protesting here and there to examine how they bear much of the responsibility for bringing us to this point."

"..the court is still allowing the administration to proceed with the executive order but directing it to stay within existing constitutional bounds—which it didn’t claim to be pushing!"

"Calls for jihad and sharia law by prominent imams are happening right under the noses of Canadians, but they are met with passivity by mainstream media and authorities. Another “top imam,” Syed Soharwardy, has declared that Islamic Sharia is the solution, and that the jizya tax is not discriminatory."

Commentary: More evidence that Islamic terrorists and many other Muslims will not be persuaded by any soft-talk or talk of "unity" with Christians or any other religion.  Evil "religious" people want "acceptance" for their lifestyle and for you to convert to their religious Faith with no form of compromise.  vtb

"..how difficult would it have been for NBC's Lester Holt and others to follow with the fact that the world's five largest Muslim-majority states—Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, and Egypt—were not included on the travel ban list?  And neither were Turkey, Algeria, and Morocco, ranking seventh through ninth in Muslim-majority status. Alternatively, the media could have informed us that there are about 50 Muslim-majority countries, only seven of which were included in the travel ban. It also could have noted that these seven constitute only about 12 percent of the global Muslim population. And a minimal investigation would have uncovered that a non-Muslim-majority country, India, had none of its 176 million Muslims banned, a number which is very close to the combined total population within the new, six-country travel ban."

Commentary: Television news, like that of other media news outlets is totally biased and filled with Democrats who accept, and digest evil on a daily basis.  vtb

"Thus Francis has never referred to Islam in problematic terms, for example with reference to immigration; He continues to say that Islam is a religion of peace and there is no difference between Islamic and Christian violence.  It remains to be understood whether it is simply a strategic "liking operation" or a belief. What is certain is that certain statements do not correspond to reality..."

Commentary: Over educated people (including many Jesuits) rarely have the humility to say they were wrong.  They have to be taught by experiences that put them to shame and make them look foolish.  vtb

"To the extent, however, that France’s brokenness mirrors the social, political, and economic crumbling of the West, we should all be worried. Elections are about many things, and we should be wary of reading too much into them. Sometimes, however, they provide insight into the collective state of mind of societies. And what this election is telling us about France bodes ill for all of us."

"Some 59 per cent Indonesians are intolerant towards minorities. Religious radicalism is on the rise. At least 11.5 million people are "spiritually" ready to change Indonesian society. The last election was poisoned by religious conflict. For Sinta Nuriyah Wahid, " radical groups have their own political agenda,” namely “the Islamic State of Indonesia”. Only 11 per cent of Indonesians are strongly opposed to an Islamic nation."

"The point of ideological warfare is not only to cast doubts in the mind of the enemy, but also to convince your own citizens that they possess a valuable heritage worth defending. To a large extent, that conviction has been lost in the West."

“He said we would build a wall and Mexico would pay for it, … but he never said when,” Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, said Monday night on Fox Business. “Some things just take time and don’t occur real quick. I think that’s the way with the wall.”

Commentary: More attacks against the four devout cardinals, but no criticism of the liberal Pope Francis. This confirms again that the four cardinals are doing the Lord's Holy Will and Pope Francis and his arrogant defenders are not.  vtb

“‘Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture make up a single sacred deposit of the Word of God’ in which, as in a mirror, the pilgrim Church contemplates God, the source of all her riches.”

“In the dispute over Amoris Laetitia the meaning of three sacraments is implicated: marriage, penance and especially the Eucharist. We have bishops’ conferences, individual bishops, priests, who on the most sensitive issues also give even opposing interpretations and directives. We have such absurdity that, just as an example, the directives to the faithful on access to the Sacraments change not only from country to country but also from diocese to diocese and parish to parish.”

Commentary: For Pope Francis to continue to refuse to clarify his position on these moral issues is cowardly, and sinful.  He is a disgrace to the Catholic Church and to his Holy Office.  vtb

Collette was fired in 2014 as Holy Family’s music minister because his engagement to longtime partner and now husband, Will Nifong, became known to church officials. The firing was traumatic for the parish, where Collette had served for 17 years. Some 700 parishioners attended a town hall about it and there welcomed Collette with a standing ovation. One parishioner expressed anger and disappointment at the treatment of Collette, saying: “Everybody was welcome… That’s become a lie.”

Commentary: Lukewarm Catholics who don't know the teachings of their Faith would naturally "welcome" sinful lifestyles into their parish.  Francis started this, and he is at the bottom of it and will be held the most accountable by our Lord for the scandal he is encouraging.  vtb

"Adding lemon to water not only quenches thirst better than any other beverage, but it also nourishes our body with vitamins, minerals and trace elements which we absolutely need. Lemon with water can be considered the best natural energy booster. When we wake up in the morning, our bodily tissues are dehydrated and are in need of water to push out toxins and rejuvenate the cells. In other words, this homemade “lemonade” helps eliminate internal toxins, regulating proper kidney and digestive tract functions by forcing them to work as smoothly as possible."

“The doctrines of the Fathers are despised; apostolic traditions are set at naught; the devices of innovators are in vogue in the churches; now men are rather contrivers of cunning systems than theologians; the wisdom of this world wins the highest prize and has rejected the glory of the Cross; shepherds are banished, and in their places are introduced grievous wolves harrying the flock of Christ...”

Commentary: Equating a false god to the real God is a poor way to bring about "unity."  Watering down our Catholic Faith to appease Buddhists is a scandal, but such is the thinking of an irresponsible pope like Francis.  Will he ever change?  It is not very likely.  His Jesuit training involved promoting intellectual pride at the expense of true humility.  The truth is slowly coming out about the faults of Pope Francis, however many souls are not aware of it, or are not concerned about it.  Francis's misguided influence is being felt world-wide and only a few are opposing and challenging his erroneous teachings.  vtb

Commentary: It is not what the "critics missed," it is what Pope Francis is missing.  He is assuming ALL immigrants are beneficial to Christian society and working together will bring good.  This is a false way of reasoning because today's Islamist's will not work with Christians to make a better society.  While it is true it has worked in some countries in the past, that is not a reliable historical view to make today.  Today's Islamist's want control, and they want everyone converted to their Faith.  And once they are in control you will see their true objectives, and that will involve violence and killings on their part.  This pope has a habit of ignoring tradition and ignoring the writings of great saints on this subject, and that blind view of history will come back to haunt him someday.  vtb

“We’re very grateful that President Trump personally engaged with the issue. Working closely with the Trump administration was very important for my family at this critical time. It let us be reunited as a family. We’re so grateful.”

"Female genital mutilation is gratuitous violence against girls and women, and is a violation of human rights; failing to report it not only ensures its continuance but also perpetuates a two-tier legal system in America: one in which Islamic Sharia is permitted and another under the rule of secular law."

"And souls working together in a mass rejection of God can move mountains. They can turn them into molehills. They can take a great civilization … and reduce its cities to rubble. They can shatter the most basic unit of social order, the family, into shards of self-seeking, adolescent adults and neglected, untutored children. Then the godless State can remake them in its image, starting with pre-school, right up through their B.A.s in Gender Studies from Jesuit universities."

"The researchers then checked to see if these imbalances also characterized the subset of patients in the study who had irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), an intestinal disorder that is common in people with chronic fatigue syndrome. Results showed that patients did indeed have different patterns of gut bacteria disturbances depending on whether they had only chronic fatigue syndrome or both chronic fatigue syndrome and IBS."

"If you listen to mainstream media for more than 30 seconds, you would think President Trump is in a world of his own as the entire nation turns its back on him. However, that would be ‘fake‘ news...in fact, the Democratic Party is viewed as more out of touch than either Trump or the party’s political opponents."

Commentary: The results of this poll are not surprising.  Most Americans are able to see through the false image Democrats and their allies in the press try to present to the general public.   vtb

"In homosexuality, I thought I could find the perfect man – someone who was masculine and powerful, but unquestionably accepting and compassionate.  I never found my gay god. Because everyone else around me was looking for precisely the same thing. But the more I expected and the more I hoped, the increasingly desperate I became."

Commentary: A very touching story of conversion.   vtb

"North Korea test-fires ballistic missile - Trump says North Korea 'disrespected the wishes of China' - Reports Pyongyang saying war 'imminent' - North Korea: attempts to get rid of nuclear weapons (is a) 'wild dream' - North Korea could develop a missile capable of reaching the US warns Homeland Security Secretary"

"As President Donald Trump convenes an unusual national security meeting on North Korea this week at the White House with the full Senate, Register correspondent Victor Gaetan explores how two priests, a Korean-American professor and a former high-level North Korean official struggled in intersecting ways to promote dialogue between the United States and North Korea."

"She was known for her great devotion to caring for the sick — she was born during the time of the great plague in Europe; she would go into homes and hospitals and care for others that no-one else would.  She would wash their hideous wounds and bandage them.  When they died, Catherine would bury them with her own hands."

"In a rare rebuke to a NATO ally, the U.S. military charged that Turkish airstrikes against a valued U.S.-backed Kurdish militia in northern Syria came with little warning and could have endangered American advisers."

"In a speech at times blunt and other times thick with imagery, the pope said that better cooperation by the two religions could lead to a new generation refreshing an environment poisoned by the one before it. “Young people, like well-planted trees, can be firmly rooted in the soil of history,” he said, “and growing heavenward in one another’s company, can daily turn the polluted air of hatred into the oxygen of fraternity.”

"U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the missile was probably a medium-range weapon known as a KN-17 and appears to have broken up within minutes of taking off."

“We are sending an armada.”  Pres. Donald J. Trump’s declaration during a television interview on the Fox Business Channel signaled the deployment of Carrier Strike Group One to the Korean Peninsula in response to North Korea’s bellicose rhetoric and upcoming missile test. The Navy canceled a series of port calls for the strike group earlier this month and diverted the ships to the Korean Peninsula in a show of force against the hermit kingdom.  But what’s in the armada?"

"Rather than accept electoral defeat, the mainstream of the Democratic Party now believes in “resisting” -- resisting anything the party in power enacts into law, does, wants to do, or even wants to think.  Their new goal is to disrupt, obfuscate, destroy, and neuter their opposition."

Commentary: Acts of treason by Democrats will not deter the objectives of President Trump.  Democrats are fighting a losing cause and making fools of themselves.   vtb

"At this point, there was some unrest in the audience. There was nobooing or heckling at all, however. This makes it even more surprising that US media are painting an entirely different picture of Ivanka’s appearance in Berlin. The murmuring that could be heard as Ivanka defended her father against criticism was interpreted as massive booing of the President’s daughter. The alleged hostility toward Ivanka during her visit to Berlin was a lead headline at US outlets such as ABC, CNN, and Fox, along with several major newspapers."

Commentary: "Fake news" is like a cancer that is only able to grow when biased, liberal people report the news.  vtb

"..many Democrats have supported parental-involvement laws and other limits on taxpayer funding for abortion. Furthermore, as recently as 2003, 62 House Democrats and 17 Senate Democrats voted in favor of the federal partial-birth abortion ban.

Commentary: A good start, but should not these Democrats also vote to ban abortion completely?  vtb

"For a man who was once pro-choice, Donald Trump has ended up doing more than most presidents for the pro-life cause.  "Compared to past administrations, we're really happy with the way the president has kept his promises," March for Life President Jeanne Mancini declared this week."

"Father Zakaria Botross, a Coptic Orthodox priest that has a bounty of US $60,000,000 placed on his head by Muslim terrorist groups and their sympathizers throughout the whole of the Middle East."

"An April 20, 2017 EWTN panel discussed a host of hot-button issues within the Church, including the appointment of a pro-gay Jesuit priest as a Vatican consultant, how the possibility of women deacons is "certainly something to be concerned about," and Cardinal Robert Sarah's "prophetic warning about the nature of the Church’s present crisis of faith."

"Malignancy: “Evil in nature.”  Planned Parenthood’s vision of itself versus the actual reality of what it does on a daily basis leaves one not only dumbfounded with disbelief, but sickened as well. Just what is it about this nefarious organization that average folks don’t seem to understand?"

"The enemy of God and all His Saints is the bent one who has a vested interest in disorienting us by the misuse of speech. It is fashionable to hold the diabolical contradiction that one can be “pro-choice” but not “pro-abortion” but let it be known that this morally problematic stance proceeds from the father of lies. Human agents tricked into holding this contradiction are not the enemy, Satan is the enemy and our duty is found in charity committed to fraternal correction."

Commentary: Nice words, but I know of no Democrat who will accept that "fraternal correction."   Admonishment is a spiritual work of mercy, but as the Holy Bible teaches us and if the circumstances warrant it, must be given in a strong and  repeated manner in order to shake up the person deserving of it.  vtb

"So, if conversion therapy is outlawed, where does that leave religious counselors?  Fined?  In jail?  Will there still be therapists doing reparative therapy underground? And are there any out there who are still doing so?  What about LGBTQ adults who seek counseling on their own?"

"U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson warned on Friday that failure to curb North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs could lead to 'catastrophic consequences,' while China and Russia rebuked Washington's threat of military force."

Commentary: This very dangerous situation continues and the prospects for peace do not look very good.  The United States has the military strength to wipe out North Korea's missiles, but the danger is that NK will still be able to fire one or two at the U.S., and that is the biggest worry right now.  A peace agreement would be good, but it would not prevent NK from adding to its nuclear strength and developing even more powerful nuclear weapons.  However, just how accurate or good North Korea's missiles are at this time is still a big question mark.  vtb

"John Stuart Mill said, “Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion.  Bad men need nothing more to accomplish their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.”

Commentary: We are not currently "losing" to the Left, that is media talk.  Those on the Left are led by the devil, but good people have the greatest resource at their disposal, and that is prayer.  That is how Donald Trump got elected, and that is how Conservative Republicans will overcome morally corrupt Democrats.  No matter how dark things can be at times, JESUS is always near to Light our way.  vtb

"A French opinion writer named Ivan Rioufol got himself into a heap o’ trouble by referring to Muslims who adhere to fundamentalist or Salafist positions as supporters of the “ideology of the Islamic State”.  That seems to me to be an accurately-phrased assertion of equivalence. But the bien-pensants who are in charge of French political culture do not agree. Mr. Rioufol is now under investigation, and may be subject to a criminal procedure."

Commentary: Freedom of speech appears to be no longer tolerated in the morally confused country of France.  vtb

"The reform Islam movement is nothing new and Muslims have attempted to reform Islam for fourteen hundred years and always failed. Leaders of such movements were often beheaded for apostasy. Jihad and sharia are foundational principles of Islam and no mincing of words will change that. That in addition to lying, deception and terror as approved Islamic tools to stay in control, could never help any reform movement to build on. How can anyone build on a foundation of lies and violence? But the so-called reformers tell us they can and that keeps American media happy and that is all that counts."

"Kamel Abderrahmani is a young Algerian Muslim, known to our readers. He wrote a letter to Pope Francis on the eve of his visit to Egypt. In it he thanks the pontiff for his courage to go to Egypt despite terrorist attacks and for his commitment to peace in the world."

Commentary: A beautifully written letter from a Muslim who has witnessed the persecution of Christians by Muslim "religious" leaders.  His appeals to Pope Francis are very touching and he speaks truth about Muslim terrorism that even Francis cannot ignore.  vtb

"I find it profoundly saddening that the grave scandal of the distribution of contraceptives and the advancing secularization of the Order which this immoral action represents are now minimized and, effectively, forgotten. All of the many press conferences, interviews and other interventions through the media on the part of the Order, in the time since the reinstatement of the Grand Chancellor, make no reference to the grave scandal and acknowledge no responsibility on the part of the Grand Chancellor for such scandal. From my view, I fear that the obscuring of this scandalous situation at the root of the recent difficulties in the Order is not a good augury for the renewal of the Order, according to its long, noble, and thoroughly Catholic tradition. [emphasis added]"
----Cardinal Burke

Commentary: Hopefully, this was only a miss-communication between Pope Francis and Cardinal Burke.  However, that may be too optimistic.  Pope Francis has not treated Cardinal Burke very well and it appears to be closer to the truth to say that the pope wanted Cardinal Burke out of the way because  Francis regards Burke as a "thorn" in his side and a challenge to his liberal manner of governing the Church.  vtb

"It is difficult to eliminate all processed foods from your diet but you can eliminate some of the worst processed foods."

Commentary: Due to Obama's failure to act, and the press's refusal to repeatedly question Obama on the matter, the U.S. is now in an extremely dangerous situation.  vtb

"They say they want answers to their “serious questions and misgivings” that have arisen after Francis reinstated within the order a fired condom promoter, forced the Order’s head to resign, and effectively removed their patron, Cardinal Raymond Burke, from his post."

Commentary: It would be a surprise if Pope Francis gave them a direct answer.  Whenever he is challenged, he refuses to explain himself, as if his decisions should not be questioned because he is the pope.  This of course, only causes more dissension and anxiety in the Church.. vtb

"Editor's Note: This article was written by an insider in the Knights of Malta who chooses to remain anonymous. We have agreed to publish it as something of an eleventh hour intervention, here on the eve of the all-important election of a new Grand Master this weekend."

“While this whole saga was an internal matter that probably should have stayed that way, it metamorphosed into a clash that showed the divide between conservatives and progressives,” Andrea Tornielli, journalist and author of several books on Francis, said Wednesday."

"Democracy seems to be losing its sense and being cast adrift by media shabbiness," Cardinal Barbarin added. "This has been our worst-ever election campaign, characterized by the unforgivable accusations, total critiques, violence, chaos and the misleading of voters."

"The Rev. Ronald Nuzzi, who heads the leadership program for Catholic educators at the University of Notre Dame, said many bishops “are in a pickle.” They want Catholic institutions to be staffed by people who not only teach what the church teaches but whose “whole life will bear witness.”  Nuzzi said he keeps a photo on his desk from the 1940s that shows all the German bishops in their garb, doing the Nazi salute."

Commentary: Notre Dame lost its Catholic identity years ago and Rev. Nuzzi confirms it.  He speaks of "apples & oranges" and is far from being a reliable source for explaining what it is to be a true Catholic.  In addition, some of the comments shown below this article reveal the confused, liberalized state of today's Church, due in part to being led by a liberal pope.  vtb

"We hear eloquent complaints about how Christians are despised and marginalized, and how religious freedom is being curtailed. But this has not come out of the blue. In the Western world at least, the issues on which this is happening are almost all sexual. Christians are despised and marginalized, in part, because they refuse to speak out in defense of others who have already been persecuted and marginalized far more than they over similar sexual issues by the same sexual radicals."

"If you want jobs, rising wages, and economic growth, you have to stop the war on capital. Trump's tax plan does just that."

"Just imagine what our country could accomplish if we started working together as one people, under one God, saluting one American flag.  I’m asking you to dream big because with your vote we are just hours away from the change you’ve been waiting for your entire life.  So to every parent who dreams for their child and to every child who dreams for their future I say these words to you tonight.  I am with you.  I will fight for you and I will win for you.  I promise.  To all Americans tonight in all of our cities and in all of our towns, I pledge to you one more time. Together we will make American wealthy again.  We will make America strong again. We will make America safe again and we will make America great again!" ----Donald Trump

"He’s not unprecedented. He’s not going to change. And 11 other lessons the media still haven’t learned about the president."

Commentary: The media is filled with mentally unbalanced Democrats who could care less about the good of the country, their main task is to attack Republicans and Conservatives.  vtb

"This award will be noted with shame and embarrassment when the history of the Indiana Democratic Party is written. Sadly, however, the award is consistent with the Democratic National  Committee’s new mantra of demanding that all Democrats support abortion."

"Teresa Manning, a law professor with a pro-life background who has questioned the effectiveness of contraception, was named deputy assistant secretary in the Office of Population Affairs of the Health and Human Services Department (HHS)."

"A new maternity center to be built on the St. Vincent’s University Hospital campus and owned by Catholic nuns will do abortions to the extent these are permitted by Irish law.
Commentary: This sounds very confusing.  How can The Sisters of Charity approve of this?  It must be due to conforming to a law.  Hopefully, they can come to a morally acceptable agreement.  vtb

"The “general climate” of devoutness in Islam (which the BBC tries to hide by calling “religious conservatism”) is what subjugates and brutalizes women all over the Middle East. If you have a religion that sanctions wife-beating, polygamy, the reduction of a woman’s inheritance rights, the reduction of the value of a woman’s testimony, honor killing, female genital mutilation, and the covering of women in the cloth coffins of the burqa and niqab, you’re going to get men who think women are unequal to them. This isn’t rocket science. It’s Islam."

"Down through the ages, St Francis and the Custody have faced both hostility and openness from local Muslim rulers. Today’s murderous jihadism is something new, a lethal threat that is driving Christians out of their ancient biblical lands. Eight hundred years later, the Franciscans determination to stay and bear witness is needed again."

"Pope Francis reaffirmed the disputed settlement of refugee camps with concentration camps. "This was not a lapsus linguae, (slip of the tongue) there are refugee camps, which are the right (rightfully) concentration camps," he said on Saturday on the return flight from Cairo to Rome. Some are in Italy, others elsewhere" - not in Germany"...Some Jewish associations had criticized the Pope's "concentration camp" (remark).

Commentary: Refuge camps are definitely not the equivalent of a "Nazi concentration camp."  It may prove to be very offensive to some Jews for the Pope to make this comparison, and then to refuse to correct himself.  Francis also does not tell the truth when he claims he does not interfere with the political affairs of countries.  His rejection of the border wall and saying Trump was not a "Christian" are only two examples of his interference and his personal attacks against a political leader that he justifies as moral observations.  We are reminded that Francis was not directly critical of Obama although Obama was in favor of the killing of the unborn through abortions and homosexual marriage.  vtb

"As a good Jesuit, Jorge Mario Bergoglio instinctively goes along with the signs of the times. He is not even trying to stem the growing diversification within the Church. On the contrary, he is encouraging it.  He is not responding to the cardinals who submit “doubts” to him and ask him to bring clarity.  He is giving free rein to even the most reckless opinions, like those of the new general of the Jesuits, the Venezuelan Arturo Sosa Abascal, according to whom it is not possible to know what Jesus really said “because there were no recorders.”

Commentary: Pope Francis does not appear to be a good pope.  His reckless manner of leading the Church is not winning him any friends that know doctrine and truly love the Church.  But a day of "reckoning" before Almighty God will come for this liberal, misguided pope as it will for each of us.  vtb

"Bullish Trump renews his battle with the 'incompetent' media as he mocks 'boring' White House Correspondents' Dinner he snubbed and boasts that his First 100 Days rally attracted 'much better people' - "Elite reporters, Trump claimed, 'would love to be with us' but were 'trapped at the dinner, which will be very, very boring' - He said the political media 'deserves a very, very big, fat fat failing grade' for its coverage of his first 100 days - Vice President Mike Pence warmed up the crowd and blamed 'left-wing activists and their willing allies in the media' for 'ignoring the facts and spreading that fake news' - Trump blasted Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and said if Democrats 'knew what the hell they were doing' they would approve funding for his border wall."

"In its statement, the White House suggested that Mr. Trump was eager to mend relations. The president’s invitation, it said, was aimed at discussing “the importance of the United States-Philippine alliance, which is now headed in a very positive direction.”

"you cannot judge a religion’s efficacy, whether good or bad, by its exceptional personalities, but only by the behavior of those masses who are conglutinated by its tenets. In this sense and from this perspective, Islam is not merely insalubrious for mankind, but even worse, and because of this same insalubrious nature, it is a grand deception that has hoodwinked the Western world in such a way that we bend over backward in abject humility just to accommodate this intolerant religion “in abstraction from its followers, or even from its various types of followers.”

"Romanticism was (is) anti-reason, obsessed with passion – where it dominates in the Church all those courses in logic for clergy are wasted. “Virtue” was what the French revolutionaries imagined had existed in ancient Rome, which is to say mostly Stoicism. This was not the Catholic understanding of virtue. In fact, the Revolution worked mightily to destroy the Church, slaughtering clergy, religious, and laity."

"My black brother called me from Baltimore feeling frustrated and alone. He is surrounded by blacks, including his own household, who believe everything they are told by fake news media. No amount of data, logic, or truth seems to penetrate their wall of brain-dead loyalty to the Democrat Party and worship of Obama. My brother said that even at his all-black church every sermon includes digs against Trump."

Commentary: Many Blacks are far more racist than Whites.  Blacks commit far more crimes than any other race in the US and are very difficult to reason with.  However, there are many good Blacks that are a credit to their race and would not agree to have someone murder their unborn child or personally commit a crime, and these are the Blacks that deserve our respect.  Unfortunately, the rest appear to be beyond learning the truth.  vtb

"Once you abandon belief in rationality, all you are left with is force and violence."

Commentary: A truer statement would be: "once you abandon your faith."   vtb

"a self-described “American Black” woman (she appears, after the ranting antifa woman, about 50 seconds into the clip) responding to the criticism toward Donald Trump by passionately pointing out the problems FOR BLACK AMERICAN CITIZENS that were completely exacerbated during the Obama presidency, and the needs of Black Americans that were wholly ignored during his reign."

"Religions devolve into cults when they set themselves in opposition to the entire world outside their confines, and when they insist that their members hold unique insights and virtues, and so have a duty to shun and denigrate the “gentiles” (everyone else).  Cult leaders understand that exposure to outsiders leads to a diminishment of commitment, and a decline of their own power."

"The left’s “inimitable” War on Poverty destroyed the Black family in our country, creating as it did a greater than 70% rate of black children born out of wedlock.  And now, the left’s demonic War on Women has turned females into the new Ugly Americans.  The notion that "anatomy is destiny" is anathema to a left whose culture wars and Woodstock generation began the death march of the American family.  And the Ugly American is our harsh American Woman liberated from herself, from her own soul."

"Watching several minutes of CNN’s punditry coverage of President Trump’s Harrisburg rally is exceptionally interesting from the perspective of watching what happens when full-throated liberal media ideology is confronted by a political opponent inoculated from battered politician syndrome.  The media cries foul."

Commentary: The media will often site the 1st Amendment when Trump attacks their credibility.  However, they do not confess that they are bullies and slandering or ridiculing the President is wrong.  This makes them even more despised by those who know, and appreciate dignity.  vtb

Commentary: Great series of videos on the new health care bill, North Korea and other issues.  vtb

(Democratic) Senator Chuck Schumer on MSNBC (via ZeroHedge): “We’re no longer fact-based. The founding fathers created a country based on fact. We don’t have a fact base. If Breitbart News and the New York Times are regarded with equal credibility, you worry about this democracy.”  First of all, in Schumer’s opening sentence, who is this “we”? There is an implication that the “we” is somehow monolithic and centralized. But people have been in disagreement about facts and what they mean since the dawn of time. People have rejected centralized sources of facts, from kings and queens and priests, to newspapers and television news."

Commentary: Another nut-case.  Mr. Schumer and the Democrats have no fresh ideas.  They simply exist to stop Trump and in the process confirm the fact they are not patriotic and could care less about what is good for our country.  vtb

"Turkey appears determined to flood Europe with migrants either way: with Europe’s permission by means of visa-free travel, or without Europe’s permission, as retribution for failing to provide visa-free travel.  The migrants arriving in Italy are overwhelmingly economic migrants seeking a better life in Europe. Only a very small number appear to be legitimate asylum seekers or refugees fleeing war zones."

Commentary: A vastly changing landscape is coming to Europe.  Are Europeans ready to incorporate immigrants into their lifestyles, or will the immigrants incorporate Europeans into their lifestyles?   vtb

We’ve all woken up from time to time with a crick in our necks or a weird leg cramp, and it is no fun at all. Spending eight hours on your side or on your back puts pressure on nerves and muscles, and we can feel the effects of a wonky sleep position the next day."

"When telling priests to follow the directives from Buenos Aires, the canonist explained that Pope Francis  complimented those directives, and both the Pope’s letter and the directives can be found on the website oCanonicalAid.org.  This website is maintained by independent canonist Marc Balestrieri, and his comments, if provided, will be shared in coming days in this blog page."

Commentary: Francis may have "complimented" Canonical Aid, Inc., but that does not mean they have the right or authority to speak for the Church on every controversial moral issue.  Their presumption reveals a huge flaw in their "mission" as well as a good dose of intellectual pride.  vtb

Pope Benedict XV - His encyclical, "Sacra Propediem."

Commentary: In today's spiritually lukewarm Church we witness almost every Sunday and/or weekday, people coming to church dressed immodestly.  Yet, many of our bishops and priests do nothing about it.  Immodest dressers can receive Holy Communion and the priest during Mass can look directly at them, but say NOTHING.  What a great scandal this is, but how many bishops tell their priests to talk about it at Mass and refuse to give Communion to these people?  What weak cowards they are and what a disgrace to the priesthood they are!   vtb

"I was ashamed when I heard the name," the pontiff told an audience of students at the Vatican.  "A mother gives life and this one gives death, and we call this device a mother. What is going on?" he asked."

Commentary: I agree, but is Pope Francis also "ashamed" when told of the lukewarm state of today's Church and how liberalism, or "the smoke of Satan" has entered the Church?  We know he is not because he has vastly contributed to that "smoke."  vtb

Commentary: These so-called "faith leaders" should take a good look at themselves and be honest enough to admit they don't know what they are talking about.  Trump's ban was written to be only TEMPORARY, and he is not, and never has been, against immigration, as long as its LEGAL.  For "Faith Leaders" to harbor individuals who break the law by coming across our borders ILLEGALLY, makes them an accomplice to a crime, and that is certainly not true "faith" or the action of a true Christian.  vtb
Commentary: Another result of the indifference Obama paid to our interests and our troops in various parts of the world.  Our troops did not like Obama because he never assumed the responsibility of a true Commander-in-Chief and did not give them his support to build up their morale.  He even cut down the number of our troops.  vtb

"In a new book published in Italy Friday, the retired Pontiff says that while he agreed with the conclusions Paul drew in the encyclical Humanae Vitae he had trouble with the argumentation surrounding the prohibition of artificial birth control for Catholics."

"He began his talk, recognizing that "there is a conflict of interpretations," which "responds to the different ecclesiologies". Hence this conflict constitutes "an x-ray of the various ecclesiological tendencies of the Church today." From those who want to "continue in the dynamic of power" to those who intend to continue "between one bank and the other of the river," passing by those who bet on a "normal and simple Church, which accepts what the Pope says."

Commentary: Theologians are filled with "opinions" and "theories" that are not necessarily according to tradition or even current Church teachings. They are in reality, self-appointed "spokesmen" who often claim to speak for the Magisterium of the Church without being given the authority to do so.  Marciano Vidal is one of those people.  However, there is another thing that is disturbing a growing number of people in the Church.  And that is, why does a pope need other people to interpret what he is saying or writing about?  Why doesn't a pope, before he writes or says something, make sure it will be absolutely clear to his "audience"?  And why when he is requested to do so, does he refuse?  Pope Francis is guilty of all these things, and that is one of the great scandals present in today's Church.  The vast majority of Catholics do not want Francis or any other pope to be a leader of confusion, but a leader of solid and true Catholic spirituality.  vtb

"In the letter, Metropolitan Seraphim criticizes Islam and says Muhammed was a "false prophet" and that the Quran is not a "holy" or "sacred" book. He presents examples of where the Quran uses material from the Bible and other religious texts, and he also discusses some of the more controversial aspects of Muhammed's life, including that one of his wives, Aisha, was only nine-years-old when she married the prophet."

Commentary: A courageous and spiritually bold letter to write.  However, it will now become very dangerous for this bishop due to fanatical Muslims who always seek revenge.  He needs and deserves our prayers.  vtb

U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed over the phone Tuesday a potential cease-fire in Syria.  A readout of the conversation released by the White House states the two leaders agreed “the suffering in Syria has gone on far too long.”

Commentary: Trump does what proud Obama would never do.  Trump believes in reconciliation and does not hold grudges.  Obama always tried to get even through mockery or personal attacks.  Thus, the vast difference in the moral qualities of these two men.  vtb

"One of our nation’s two political parties is now completely dedicated to a fundamental evil.  Abortion is even worse than segregation. (Democrats defended that for 100 years). It’s on the level of slavery. To be an active Democrat, going forward, is now to participate in evil. If you raise money for Democratic candidates, give to Democratic causes, or in any way participate in that party’s bid for power. … You are implicated."

“Now, as far as the fight coming down the pike in September, we're going to be ready for that fight, and we're going to make sure that President Trump's priorities continue,” Priebus said.

"By going immediately to Israel from Saudi Arabia, Trump also means to repudiate the fatuous assumptions and failed policies of President Barack Obama."

Commentary: This problem will be addressed by the U.S. when we are asked to participate in the discussions and our assistance is requested.  vtb

"Many pro-life Republicans have praised the bill for blocking federal funding for Planned Parenthood."

Commentary:  This does not make dirty Democrats very happy, but who really cares?  ObamaCare passed without any Republican votes, and if no Democrats vote for the Republican healthcare plan, so be it!  vtb

Commentary: The writer has very strong opinions.  However, so does the average French citizen and it is in them that we must place our trust.  vtb

“The way of all flesh awaits all of us. Even nations die. Look what happened to England,” he told “Savage Nation” listeners.  “There’s no England anymore. That’s because of liberalism. They bent over backwards for liberalism, socialism. They opened their borders, and they thought that the influx of [Muslims] would somehow make them a greater nation.  “That somehow this idea of multiculturalism would save Britain.”

"Asylum applications in Mexico rose steadily in recent years as the flow of people leaving Central America increased. But in 2016, as Trump campaigned on a tough anti-immigration platform, applicants jumped to 8,781, up from just under 3,500 in 2015. Mexico's refugee agency COMAR predicts it could receive more than 22,500 asylum applications in 2017."

"Depending on the type of crust, the amount of cheese and the toppings used, pizza can rank anywhere from nutritionally decent to a diet disaster."

"The American Health Care Act (HR 1628) passed by the House today reduces taxes on the American people by over $1 trillion. The bill abolishes the following taxes imposed by Obama and the Democrat party in 2010 as part of Obamacare:"

"Many observers feel that the controversial ascension of Obama to the White House is no longer newsworthy. The sun has apparently set on Obama’s destructive stewardship of the country. He must be allowed to fade into political irrelevance while the country tackles without distraction the enormous problems that confront it. “There’s a lot of work to do,” writes one commentator to a recently posted article of mine, “Let’s start by consigning Obama to the dustbin of history, and repeat his name no more.”

"I know some of my fellow evangelicals are a bit uneasy because they don't believe the executive order goes far enough—but be patient. This is the first of several steps to protect religious liberty.  This president has demonstrated he is a friend to people of faith—and at the end of the day—I have no doubt he will honor his word. Just have faith."

"Mária Schmidt is a Hungarian historian and university lecturer. In the following essay she outlines the trajectory of George Soros’ career and describes his ongoing nefarious schemes with great lucidity. Her account is literally horripilating: it made my skin crawl to read what this vile man has unleashed upon the world. This “globalized” world.

"In the movie Gettysburg, amidst the lines of battle and artillery fire, there is a brief scene of a priest, his back to the camera, offering absolution to a vast field of kneeling Catholic soldiers. On the Gettysburg battlefield today, a statue honors this priest, Father William Corby, CSC, a Holy Cross priest whose name is familiar to the students and graduates of the University of Notre Dame, from whence he departed to serve his country, torn apart by civil war."

"The following is a list of most Army enlisted and officer jobs, with short descriptions."

Commentary: Obama was without question, the worst President of the United States.  vtb

"Besides being Gospel, Purgatory attracts people to the Church, too. It supplies a need we all feel, at least when we’re at our best. The Protestant C. S. Lewis saw this at the very end of his life. In his last book, Letters to Malcolm, he says that “Our souls demand Purgatory.”

"Demons have been seen by seers as apes or monkey-like, hopping as if a kangaroo, or resembling snakes and insects. Satan has appeared to seers as a tremendously handsome man promising success here on earth in “love and life” if they will follow him instead of her — the dreaded “her” being Mary. Yet, he flees, this handsome con artist, as soon as Mary reappears."

"The election of a liberal Jesuit to the papacy thrilled Democrats in the United States, whose unholy alliance with the Catholic left goes back many decades. Barack Obama, one of the pope’s most prominent supporters, has long been a beneficiary of that alliance. The faculty at Jesuit Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., ranked as one of the top donors to his campaign.  In a grim irony, Obama, whose presidency substantially eroded religious freedom in America, rose to power not in spite of the Catholic Church but because of it. The archdiocese of Chicago helped bankroll his radicalism in the 1980s. As he (Obama) recounts in his memoirs, he began his work as a community organizer in the rectory rooms of Holy Rosary parish on Chicago’s South Side. The Alinskyite organization for which he worked — the Developing Communities Project — received tens of thousands of dollars from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development."

Commentary: A sad reminder that against tradition, a pope has chosen to associate and find agreement with evil men rather than truly holy men.  vtb

"A number of the “Founding Fathers,” starting with George Washington himself, belonged to Masonic lodges (though they were also Christian). The same has been true of presidents since that time. Of the forty-five, fourteen (and by one count fifteen) have been Masons. That’s one-third [list here]."

"In these circumstances the only indispensable act of the Pope consists in unambiguously confirming the Divine truth of the indissolubility of marriage not only regarding doctrine, but also regarding the practice, as it did Jesus Christ and according to His example all of His Vicars on earth, the Roman Pontiffs. The central task of a Pope is precisely this: to confirm his brethren in the faith. This task is not optional, but commanded by Christ Himself (cf. Lc 23, 32).

Commentary: Will Francis listen to Bishop Schneider?  It is very doubtful. Francis is firmly set in his ways and accepts no correction from any of his cardinal or bishop brothers.  This is either because he is a spirituality misguided man or a very proud man, neither of which is good for the Church. vtb

"Pope Francis’ Exhortation Amoris Laetitia is not only dividing the Church, but more alarmingly, it is quietly attempting to change Catholic doctrine by means of an “incremental change of praxis,” said two Catholic scholars at an international conference in Rome last week."

"The document is indirect. It says things in an indirect way, but clearly, so the reader gets very clearly the message...What is implied in the whole discourse is very clear and really runs against very important dogmatic articles of the faith," he said.

“I hope that Catholics in the diocese will understand that it would be sinful to receive a fake sacrament from a woman priest and that includes attending a fake Mass,” said David Hains, spokesperson for the Catholic Diocese of Charlotte."

"The Catholic Archdiocese of Denver will only allow biological males and leaders who adhere to the Catholic Church's moral teachings to participate in its parishes' Boy Scouts troops.  Denver Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila announced the policy in an April 20 column. He blasted the Boy Scouts of America for admitting "girls who struggle with gender dysphoria and are living as though they are boys."

"The logic of much of Europe's religious and political community seems to be that if the elephant in the room is spoken to nicely and made to look cute and adorable, people will not think of it as a threat to their safety."

Commentary: Islam is a very dangerous "religion," if you can call it a religion because it is more of a "cult" that seeks violence against anyone who does not worship the false god that Muslims worship.  It also fulfills the prophecy given in the Bible about the end times:

"They will put you out of the synagogues (churches): yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth a service to God."  [John 16:2]

Commentary: The state of Illinois has been run by corrupt Democrats for years.  They are demonized individuals who have no regard for human life or the wishes of voters who oppose abortion.  They are morally and mentally sick peopleObama came out of their ranks which explains his immoral character. vtb

"the Prime Minister of Sweden vowed his country will ‘never go back’ to recent levels of mass immigration after it emerged the terrorist who killed four people in a truck attack was a failed asylum seeker…."

Commentary: Too little, too late.  Common sense was replaced by no sense, and now Sweden is suffering the consequences.  Hopefully, they have truly learned a lesson.  vtb

Commentary: The Saudis have another thing coming if they think Christians are going to let them have their murderous ways without a spiritual fight because with prayer, Christianity always wins

"between 1530 and 1780 there were almost certainly 1 million and quite possibly as many as 1.25 million white, European Christians enslaved by the Muslims of the Barbary Coast."

Commentary: A foretaste of the future should Muslims become the majority in the nations of the West and gain power.  vtb

"The EU Council has moved to distribute hundreds of thousands of refugees across Europe to lighten the burden on Italy and Greece. The Hungarian government has opposed the move from the start and proposes a new mechanism to mass deport migrants instead."

Commentary: If this is what it means to be part of the European "Union," then it may be better to leave it and go solo.  vtb
-------------
"The Absence of Conversion: Unlike the Courage apostolate, nowhere in this strategy is repentance or conversion discussed. Instead, the focus is on the overly feminized and therapeutic language objectives of “respect, compassion, and sensitivity.”

Commentary: Another disciple of Pope Francis and his "who am I to judge?" statement.  Homosexual lifestyles will never receive the approval or respect of true Christians.  We can, and should respect the person, but not the grave sins committed by morally depraved homosexuals.  vtb

"When Joseph Ratzinger resigned as Pope Benedict XVI, some of his opponents predicted, unkindly, that his abdication would be the only thing remembered about his life and pontificate. It turns out that it is Benedict’s critics who are now being eclipsed, while Joseph Ratzinger’s reputation continues to rise."

Commentary: Pope Benedict XVI is very much missed by many faithful Catholics who love their faith and choose to obey Church doctrine, rather than following someone who seeks to change it through "back-door" means.  vtb

"The idea of a rose coming from someone's body stretches the most open of minds, although phenomena associated with Saint Padre Pio -- whom Maria had met -- were equally as baffling and difficult to believe."

"If you find yourself, as a new convert, wondering where that beautiful afterglow has gone to take heart and begin. Hook up with other pious, devout Catholics in your parish and get things going—pray, and act, because maybe this is exactly the opportunity parishioners in your orbit where waiting for. Maybe this is exactly what God’s had in mind all along; maybe you’re the catalyst."

Commentary: Not covered in the article is the disappointment many converts are experiencing as they see their idea of a true  Church slowly coming apart due to the lack of holiness taking place from the Vatican on down through the average priest.  vtb

"Huntington’s Disease (HD) is an incurable genetic brain disorder affecting nearly one million people globally. It is among the most common hereditary brain disorders, yet few people know about it and no cure exists.  It begins with personality changes and progresses to loss of body function, eventually robbing the person of the ability to talk, walk, swallow, think and reason."
"It’s time for Huntington’s to be Hidden No More.  We need your help to get the word out about this important issue – because together we can achieve more for families and communities affected by HD.  We encourage you to read, watch and share the videos, photos and graphics below. They have been created specifically for you to use to drive awareness and education about HD and to lift the stigma around it."

Commentary: This is a terrible disease that needs far more research and public attention.  vtb

Commentary: There has always been immorality in both the Democratic and Republican Parties, but sick minded Republicans, although small in number, are much more difficult to endure because they come across as "traitors.".  vtb

"Congress is stuck.  They can either work to advance the agenda that the president ran on and was elected on, or suffer humiliating defeats in next year's midterm elections.  Don't doubt for a second that President Trump will forget who is enemies were when things really mattered.  And expect him to inform his millions of loyal supporters of who those individuals are when the time comes.  In short, Trump can afford to wait."

Commentary:  Waiting is actually not an option.  The 2018 elections are coming up and Trump must show progress on his promises, or the Republican Party could end up a minority Party in the senate.  vtb

"The former education secretary said Catholic social teaching was central to her politics."

"Abortion is killing. Nobody can argue with that. When the fetus is inside the uterus it is alive and when the pregnancy terminated it is dead – that by any definition is killing. … I think abortion is the destruction of something which is potentially irreplaceable, human and of great value, which is the tragedy of abortion."

Commentary: To be totally aware you are either participating in, or approving of murder and still willfully accept your situation, is about the worst moral state you can be in.  vtb

"Conservatives must always ask themselves what they seek to conserve. In 2017, our goal must be to conserve democratic self-government, which is the basis for political freedom. A generation ago, we could focus on the perils of an enlarged government (and the Soviet Union). Now the problem has changed. The greatest threat to freedom is our dissolving society. Voters sense this, which is why they’re tilting in the direction of nationalism, however inarticulately and tentatively. We need to renew solidarity, something that can’t be done by citizens of the world. "

Commentary: Faith in God is the main ingredient of a good society.  Without it, its every man for himself, and that type of selfishness can only lead to a crumbling of both Church and society.  vtb

"The distortions caused by mental illness, coupled with what Christians know about our Adversary, (the devil) render the notion of consent in the Canadian proposal absurd. When you hear, “please let me die,” you can never be certain whose words you’re hearing: the person’s, the illness’s or the Adversary’s."

Commentary: The only ones truly mentally ill are those who support laws that put people to death without a fair trial or fair hearing by a panel of qualified believers in Almighty God.  vtb
"It’s not clear why there were photos taken of the crowds during the Miracle of Sun, but none of the Sun itself. Maybe the photographers couldn’t see it (not everyone could)? Or maybe no photos taken of the sky turned out."

"The firing has stoked charges of a cover-up and again raised the questions, Why, if Trump has nothing to hide, does he act so guilty? Why, if there’s no fire, is there always so much smoke?"

Commentary: The writer of this article is confused.  Trump is not "acting guilty."  He is simply being himself - a man among many who is fed up with the Democrats making mountains out of molehills.  vtb

"French writer Samuel Pruvot, who interviewed the new president at length for a book, said Macron sought baptism at age 12 under the influence of his Jesuit teachers, but viewed the Catholic faith “more intellectually than spiritually” and would “distance himself as much as possible from Church, faith and Catholicism” as president."

Commentary: Not the mark of a true Catholic, but he is not alone.  Many devout Catholics wonder just how many "true Catholics" still exist in today's corrupt world?   vtb

"The fact is that between Pope Francis and the Venezuelan bishops, concerning the crisis that is ravaging the country, there is an abyss. The bishops stand with the population that is protesting against the dictatorship, and are respected and listened to as authoritative guides. While Bergoglio is judged on a par with Pontius Pilate, unforgivably reckless with Maduro and Chavism, in addition to being incomprehensibly reticent on the victims of the repression and on the aggression that is striking the Church itself."

Commentary: Pope Francis should not publicly be discussing the internal affairs of a country before consulting with his advisors and making sure he has a very clear picture of what is going on.  Now things have only gotten worse because the violence against the Church is being ignored by Francis.  vtb

"The USCCB moves actively and swiftly to silence and demonize voices that tell the truth about the Muslim persecution of Christians."

Commentary: In some respects our bishops have become a spin-off of the useless Democratic Party. Their lack of spiritual leadership is a disgrace.  vtb

"Everything that we traditional Catholics believe in and do must have only one end; HOLINESS.  The work of the Holy Spirit is to SANCTIFY US and make us into other Christs."

Commentary: Although this was hardly an overwhelming  "victory," as expected, homosexuals no longer only want to just be "respected," they now want to add to their numbers and influence our youth to join in their immoral lifestyles.  Misery loves company.  Satan desires to take as many souls to Hell as possible.  vtb

"Bills to take away freedom from medical professionals will funnel children towards sterilization and serious lifelong harm. So-called conversion therapy bans ironically prevent unhappy children caught in the trans contagion from accepting their natural bodies, and benefit an increasingly profitable gender clinic industry. They act as a Trojan horse for the transgender movement, who, almost unbelievably, are interested in vulnerable children as raw material to manufacture more transgender adults."

Commentary: Everything about these so-called "transgenders" is false, especially the fact that it is not possible to change your DNA.  No matter how you change the outside, the inside remains the same.  vtb

"In a visit fraught with symbolism, President Trump on Monday became the first sitting U.S. president to set foot in the Old City of Jerusalem.  The president and first lady Melania Trump visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, traditional site of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial and resurrection, and the Western Wall, part of the Jewish temple complex destroyed by Rome in 70 C.E."

Commentary: The work of obnoxious Obama comes to light.  vtb

Commentary: Insincere Obama's words about "racism" did not match his actions as he failed to improve the lives of African Americans.  vtb

"Though Benedict is still living, Francis is trying to bury him. Upon his election in 2013, Francis began to pursue an agenda that Joseph Ratzinger had opposed throughout his career. A stress on the pastoral over against the doctrinal, a promotion of diverse disciplinary and doctrinal approaches in local churches, the opening of Communion to the divorced and remarried—all these proposals were weighed and rejected by Ratzinger more than ten years ago in a heated debate with Walter Kasper."

Commentary: The differences between a liberal pope who believes in "diversity" to the point of confusion, and a conservative pope who believes the Church must follow tradition and established doctrine.  vtb

"The Mass and the reception of the Eucharist is the centerpiece of the Christian life. So we better take it seriously!  Unfortunately, whether it’s out of ignorance or laziness, it seems most Catholics aren’t receiving the Eucharist correctly."

Commentary: Not mentioned is why the priest is not correcting those who receive Holy Communion poorly, or why bishops are not issuing new directives to correct this scandal.  vtb

"In place of states receiving matching funds for approved expenditures, states could choose to receive funds based on their per capita expenditures in 2016. Or the states could choose to receive a federal block grant, which would be a fixed amount.  Both options provide states with much more flexibility in how they run Medicaid."

Commentary: To imply that somehow unfair reporting is the public's fault is not anywhere near the truth.  A vast number of the press are, in Trump's words, "not honest."  Any attempt to water-down that assessment by someone in the press only confirms the dishonesty of the press.  vtb

“This anti-Gospel, which seeks to elevate the individual’s will to consume, to pleasure and to power over the Will of God, was rejected by Christ when tempted in the wilderness. Disguised as ‘human rights,’ it has reappeared, in all its luciferian hubris, to promulgate a narcissistic, hedonistic attitude that rejects any constraint except that imposed by man-made laws,” he said.

"Contrary to a recent Gallup poll, another survey shows that the percentage of Americans who believe the Bible is the literal Word of God has remained remarkably stable over the past several decades.

"“Atheist” clergymen and even a “Satanic” religion have recently appeared. Some 20,000-30,000 Protestant congregations are said to exist. Few suppose an equivalent number of gods, though pagans had quite a few, as do Hindus. Usually in polytheistic situations, we find greater and lesser gods.  This country has no official religion. It does (or did) encourage and respect most religions that have no obvious flaws. It prefers that each clergyman pray after the manner of his own religion. We all agree to listen respectfully, even if it is not exactly our way."

Sound crazy? If so, then know this: t’s a black thing. You wouldn’t understand. But it does explain why last year, immediately after a black person killed five Dallas cops, 100 black people looted a convenience store, then stayed in the parking lot to dance with joy. Yes, dance. On video. In front of cops.   And no, I would not believe that either if I did not see it for myself on YouTube. You can too."

"Cardinal Raymond Burke issued a call this morning for the Catholic faithful to “work for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”  Cardinal Burke, who is one of the four Cardinals who have asked Pope Francis for a clarification of Amoris Laetitia, made his appeal at the Rome Life Forum, in the month of the centenary of Our Lady of Fatima’s first apparition to the three shepherd children."

Commentary: Putin, our so-called "enemy," has more common sense and insights than the Democratic Party and the news media all together.  vtb

"Ever since Donald Trump won the presidency, the left's descent into madness has taken many forms, none more distasteful than its embrace of profanity and gross scatological references."

Commentary: Grave sins contribute to degrees of insanity and a lack of proper judgement.  Most on the Left, are in the grip of the devil and therefore will be lacking in wisdom.  vtb

"Pence cited Trump as "an example of leadership and perseverance" to applause from the crowd, citing the president's efforts on the economy, education, security...to more applause — for standing "without apology for the sanctity of life and all the God-given liberties in the Constitution of the United States."

"Archbishop of Montreal Christian Lépine has defended giving Holy Communion to Canada’s notoriously pro-abortion Catholic prime minister during Mass on Wednesday, describing it as “a gesture of hope.”

Commentary: Since when is aiding in a sacrilege a "gesture of hope"? It is more accurate to call it "a gesture of scandal."  vtb

"Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord...For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself."  (1 Corinthians 11:27 & 29)

"Predictably, the liberal hate machine has lashed out at Benedict, just as they lashed out at Card. Sarah last year when he suggested that priests should say Mass ad orientem."

Commentary: The "ultra-liberal liturgist Andrea Grillo" does not appear to know the harm he is doing.  To attack a former pope who is now 90 years old is a cowardly, disgraceful act.  He should be severely admonished by Pope Francis or a Vatican official, but since Mr. Grillo is a liberal, the odds are against that happening.  vtb

"Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga, the chairman of the Council of Cardinals, has launched a startling personal attack on Cardinal Raymond Burke, calling the American prelate “a poor man,” and saying that his thoughts “don’t merit further comment.”

Commentary: Another uncharitable act by a liberal that will not warrant a response from the liberal Pope Francis.  vtb

"Cardinal Caffarra has offered at the Rome Life Forum a lecture on the apocalyptic signs of present-day society: abortion and the exaltation of homosexuality, something that can only be fought with the testimony, "being witnesses of the Truth, as If we were in a trial and the accused was Christ."

"The Commission for the Protection of Christian Values is a lower house coalition of 46 members of Parliament coming together to make sure Russian laws conform to Biblical standards of morality and decency. New laws are proposed and existing laws are evaluated for their impact on Russian society in terms of Christian values."

Commentary: The Orthodox Church in Russia again proves it is spiritually stronger than the Catholic Church in America.  vtb

"Christina Cauterucci is very, very upset that the Oklahoma House of Representatives just passed a non-binding resolution affirming abortion to be the “murder of unborn children.” She admits up front that it has absolutely no legal force and is just a statement of principles, but no matter; speaking the truth at all is “an insult to parents.”

"Editor’s note: Cardinal Caffarra gave this talk at the Rome Life Forum on May 19, 2017."

"How do abortionists describe preborn children and the violent abortion procedures they perform on them?  A video has gone viral that exposes what abortionists admit when they don’t realize the cameras are rolling.

"A political-science journal that published an oft-cited study claiming conservatives were more likely to show traits associated with “psychoticism” now says it got it wrong. Very wrong.  The American Journal of Political Science published a correction this year saying that the 2012 paper has “an error” — and that liberal political beliefs, not conservative ones, are actually linked to psychoticism."

Commentary: Proving something conservatives knew all along.  vtb

Commentary:British Broadcasting is living up to it's reputation.  It has never been known to be "fair & balanced."  vtb

"President Donald Trump reiterated his support for a strong border wall in a joint press conference with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos."

"The DNC fired three top officials after the Democrat Party was caught rigging their primary against Bernie Sanders last year."

Commentary: Corruption abounds in the Democratic Party.  vtb

"In a scathing and long overdue real talk criticism of the situation of the Church in Europe and with Islam, Archbishop Carlo Liberati said that because of the moral decadence of the European people they have become modern day pagans who have rejected Christianity and hurt the most vulnerable among them and that people are refusing to address the problem. As a result, he says that Europe who will be conquered by the Muslims once Islam is recognized as a “mainstream” religion within a decade or less..."

"Disgusted, the inhabitants of the neighborhood decided to launch a large petition to denounce the situation. Every day becomes more and more oppressive. Young girls, who can no longer go out alone, cannot wear a skirt or trousers that cling too close to the body without receiving a lash of insults: one of them tells of having her hair lit up by a cigarette."

Commentary:  Of course, young girls (and women) should always dress modestly, but immodest dressers should not be treated harshly and disrespectfully.  vtb

"Today’s moderate Muslim is tomorrow’s jihadi. The Islamic State is calling the ummah (worldwide Muslim community) to jihad according the Islamic texts and teachings.  A vast proportion of ISIS recruits are “far from being uneducated or illiterate,” a World Bank has found in a study of why people join terrorist groups. The report says some of the recruits tend to be even better educated than their average countrymen. It is not surprising. The Caliph himself has a PhD in Islamic theology."

"It is our solemn duty as Catholics, therefore, to be conscious of our duty to America, and to preserve its freedom by preserving its faith in God. . .But as we talk about patriotism, it might be well to remind ourselves that in a crisis like this even devotion to the stars and stripes is not enough to save us. We must look beyond them to other stars and stripes, namely the stars and stripes of Christ, by Whose stars we are illuminated and by whose stripes we are healed!"

Note: This column is an excerpt from an address then Father Sheen (he later became Archbishop Fulton Sheen) delivered on The Catholic Hour radio program on February 20, 1938.

Commentary: Bishop Sheen was truly "a man for all seasons."  vtb

"A Polish Catholic can hear from his bishops that the remarried cannot receive Holy Communion, while if he goes go to Germany, the opposite will be told to him. The Catholic teaching must not be changed, it must be unified everywhere. The Pope, being the Vicar of Christ, is the only one who can publicly decide on this debate. We are talking about fundamental issues that are sensitive to us. Francis has not given any clear guidance in the past two years. His task, among other things, is to strengthen believers in their faith and to govern the Church."

Commentary: "The Pope of Confusion" continues to live up to his reputation.  Francis only "leads" when it suits his own personal goals, but even then he at times leads us in the wrong direction and sets a bad example by approving of immoral relationships.  On the surface he appears to be very spiritual with deep insights into what the Church needs.  However, at the same time he is wrong on a number of key moral issues and is therefore causing great harm to the unity of the Church and appears to be indifferent about it.  When Francis was elected pope, it is debatable whether it was the work of the Holy Spirit or the work of the devil.  Regardless, at this stage of the papacy of Francis, Satan is pleased, but the Holy Spirit is grieved at the inability of this pope to be a good Shepherd and take proper care of his sheep.  Dangerous times lie ahead for the Church.  vtb

"She wrote of the “magnitude of the great, unique love” of God, which could only make one “cry over one’s ingratitude.”

She spoke to Jesus about the role of a confessor in the sacrament; Jesus replied that he is: “My lips, my hands and my heart beating amongst you.”  “Everything you have and everything you are is my gift of Love,” Jesus told Alicja. He stressed the significance of the Eucharist, reminding her that He wants to be invited to every person’s life. Moreover, He warned against abusive reception of Holy Communion and its desecration."

"He is a straight-forward, sincere man. You can't really classify him as a traditional politician," Putin said of Trump. "This is a person with a fresh view of things."

"Complaining about what he (Trump) said were signs of “political schizophrenia” in the United States, Putin said Trump was not being allowed to do his job properly.  “It’s hard to imagine what else can these people who generate such nonsense and rubbish can dream up next,” said Putin...“What surprises me is that they are shaking up the domestic political situation using anti-Russian slogans. Either they don’t understand the damage they’re doing to their own country, in which case they are simply stupid, or they understand everything, (they are doing) in which case they are dangerous and corrupt.”

Commentary:Putin, our so-called "enemy," has more common sense and insights than the Democratic Party and the news media put together.  vtb

"After six months of digging, the media had not found evidence of any actual wrongdoing by the Trump administration, but continued pushing out negative stories."

Commentary:Lead by the devil, the Father of Lies, dysfunctional Democrats continue to try and weaken Trump, but he continues to fight back proving truth is greater than fiction.  vtb

"Just A Common Soldier, also known as A Soldier Died Today, is one of the most popular poems on the Internet. Written and published in 1987 by Canadian veteran and columnist A. Lawrence Vaincourt, it now appears in numerous anthologies, on thousands of websites and on July 4, 2008 it was carved into a marble monument at West Point, New York. ... Please enjoy this tribute to the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen who have given so much for our country."

“This merciless slaughter of Christians in Egypt tears at our hearts and grieves our souls,” he said, after terrorists shot at a bus, killing at least 28 people."  He also pulled no punches on the “depraved, twisted, and thuggish ideology” of terrorists.  “The bloodletting of Christians must end, and all who aid their killers must be punished,” he said.  The President vowed to protect these historic communities from being obliterated.  “Civilization is at a precipice — and whether we climb or fall will be decided by our ability to join together to protect all faiths, all religions, and all innocent life,”he said.

CommentaryTrump defends Christians as opposed to obnoxious Obama who remained silent about their cruel treatment.  vtb

*  Donald Trump resisted concerted action on climate change and migrants at G7
*  Trump wants to 'throw out' a plan of a migrants' rights pact from the Italian hosts
*  He also told other leaders that he has not yet decided on the Paris climate pledge
*  G7's final statement will be six pages when released, it was 32 pages last year

Commentary: Censoring websites that identify terrorists and their activities is a poor example of Western style "freedoms."  The UK and European ISPs are looking at the wrong "suspects."  vtb

"Meet the new lynch mob. It’s no different from the old lynch mob, except it’s not called a lynch mob anymore: it’s called “justice.”

Commentary:The city has an extremely high rate of murders and other crimes that places it among the highest in the nation.  This shows the lack of wisdom in city government officials.  vtb

“The generality of the leadership of the Church is very disappointing at the moment.” Talking to lifesitenews.com she added that she was “scandalized” about this.  Silvas also criticized, what she called, “affective papalism” and asks the question, “What happens when the Pope is disobedient to the [previous] Pope?”

"The survey, based on data from 137,000 first-time students at 184 colleges and universities in the U.S., showed that college students with no religious affiliation were only at 10 percent in 1986, but have now tripled, rising up to 31 percent in 2016.

Commentary: This is not surprising since many young people (with the approval of their parents) are caught up with the things of this world, rather than pursuing the Things of the Lord's Spirit.  This means they have been taken in by the deceitful tactics of Satan"I will not now speak many things with you.  For the prince of this world (Satan) cometh, and in me he hath not any thing." [John 14:30]

Commentary: Good idea, but we know that since it is not "politically correct," no political leader will "demand" it.  vtb

Commentary: Pope Francis is not among the innocent in regard to climate change either.  He speaks beautifully on certain spiritual subjects, but seems naive on deeper spiritual happenings.  vtb

"From the best-selling author of The Secrets, Chastisement, and Triumph, which was honored as “Book of the Year”, comes a new book about the final great battle. An easily readable, well-researched, and inspiring book about the divine plan to bring true peace to the world, this book uses solid sources like the Bible, credible Christian prophecy, and regarded heavenly prophecies of our times to detail the coming events of the last great battle in CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER as described in the Book of Revelation."

Commentary: Most people, out of fear, will ignore this book due to focusing on the present rather than attempting to study revealed future events that are much closer than we realize.  vtb
