"The following message was delivered on behalf of His Eminence Robert Cardinal Sarah this September at the General Assembly of the Association Pro Liturgia, a group founded in 1988 to promote the correct application of the decisions of the Second Vatican Council. It was first published in French by L’Homme Nouveau; this English version by the authors of Canticum Salomonis is translated and published with his Eminence’s permission."
"Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, has released a new video highlighting President Trump’s pro-life accomplishments since assuming office in January 2017. The video, produced at Priests for Life headquarters in Titusville, Florida, opens with the statement, “Many pro-life people worked hard to elect President Donald Trump. That hard work has paid off for the pro-life movement and the unborn.”
(The Church must be) saved from the attacks of the malign one, the great accuser and at the same time be made ever more aware of its guilt, its mistakes, and abuses committed in the present and the past,” Francis said in a message on Sept. 29.

"[U.S. Senator Susan Collins] bravely restored common sense, decency to the U.S. Senate today and led by example, and she had to stand up to a very angry, left-wing mob." — Sean Hannity
Commentary: Unfortunately, most democrats are so filled with hate and ugly pride that it is very doubtful they will learn anything. vtb
Commentary: Well deserved lecture to our sick, biased, liberal news media. vtb
"He suggests that the key to perseverance in the Christian vocation is watchfulness, developing this idea into a major theme in De Tristitia Christi. Its antithesis, inattentiveness, is considered a major cause of the internal and external disintegration of the Christian community. This is evidenced at two levels. Inattentiveness breeds negligence on the part of the shepherds and this, in turn, contributes to intimidation into silence and paralysis when faced with heterodoxy, ill-discipline or outright opposition."
Commentary: Satan is having a field day in the USA and other parts of the world. vtb
"Frustratingly eager voters never got the chance to kick Obama out of school washrooms, because his time was up when he tried to get a third term through Hillary Clinton. Impeachment? It should be Barack Obama and not Donald Trump who should be impeached. Trump is a duly elected president, “Resistance” leader Obama, a legend in his own mind, only thinks he is. There is something dangerously covert and creepy about Obama, who left plants behind in the Deep State, and is now hiding behind paid protesters to destabilize western society by bringing America down. There was no dignity or decorum in a president who spent his time dissing America from abroad. Nor is there any dignity or decorum in an all but hidden “Resistance” leader hiding behind the skirts of screeching feminists."
"So, is there any chance of reform? The best hope lies in an engaged, activist, and protesting Catholic laity. Sadly, in our conversations with some of our Catholic colleagues and friends, we have noticed what seems to us to be a growing resignation, indifference, or even apathy in the face of a steadily worsening Catholic crisis. What accounts for that? After years, or rather decades, of news about clerical misconduct, are Catholics (or some of them) beginning to suffer scandal-fatigue? The outcome of this crisis lies, as it always has, entirely in the hands of Catholic lay persons."
“I’ve now received a committee staff briefing on the FBI’s supplement to Judge Kavanaugh’s background investigation file,” the Iowa GOP lawmaker said Thursday. “There’s nothing in it that we didn’t already know. These uncorroborated accusations have been unequivocally and repeatedly rejected by Judge Kavanaugh, and neither the Judiciary Committee nor the FBI could locate any third parties who can attest to any of the allegations."
"Judge Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in as the 114th Supreme Court justice late Saturday, just hours after the Senate voted to confirm him to the nation's highest court after a rancorous confirmation battle. Kavanaugh was sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts in a private ceremony, accompanied by his wife and children. The ceremonial swearing in is expected to happen on Monday evening at the White House. It means that now-Justice Kavanaugh will begin hearing cases before the court on Tuesday. The Senate voted 50-48 to confirm Kavanaugh, mostly along party lines, after a weeklong FBI probe helped settle concerns among most wavering senators about the sexual assault allegations that nearly derailed his nomination and led to a dramatic second hearing. Saturday’s roll call marked the tightest successful Supreme Court confirmation vote in over 100 years, closer than even that of Clarence Thomas who similarly faced sexual misconduct allegations."
Commentary: Justice finally comes in spite of the evil actions and talk from dysfunctional Democrats. vtb
McConnell says protesters managed what he couldn't: Fire up Republicans - "Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell condemned and praised a “mob” of activists opposed to just-confirmed Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, telling reporters they terrorized lawmakers while firing up the GOP base. “We stood up for the presumption of innocence,” McConnell told reporters after the Senate confirmed Kavanaugh by a vote of 50-48. “We refused to be intimidated by the mob of people that came after Republican members at their homes and in the halls.”
"All the signs have been pointing to it for some time but now we can come out and say it. The Democrats have resigned as a national party, if that term is to have any logical meaning at all. To be a national party, it is necessary to willingly and in good faith attempt to reach out to all Americans. The Democrats have shown an absolute refusal to do this, and don’t seem to care in the least about the inevitable repercussions that will surely befall them."
Lowest U.S.Unemployment Rate Since '69; Lowest Number of Unemployed Since 2000 - "The unemployment rate for Hispanics, 4.5 percent, tied the record low set in July. For African-Americans, the unemployment rate in September was 6.0 percent, just a tenth of a point above the record low set in May. And 70,656,000 women age 20+ were counted as employed in September, a record number for this group. “Since the election, we have created over 4 million new jobs,” President Donald Trump told a rally in Minnesota Thursday night. “We've added nearly half a million new manufacturing jobs...and we have companies pouring into our country.” NINE TIMES THE MEDIA PUSHED MISINFORMATION ABOUT KAVANAUGH - "Establishment media outlets repeatedly bungled their coverage of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, spreading misinformation as a result. Here are nine instances in which media outlets pushed misinformation about Kavanaugh."
"Not only are people finding work, but Americans are earning more. Compared to September of 2017, wages increased 2.8%, while the typical work week remained steady at 34.5 hours. While only 134,000 new jobs were created in September, the employment numbers for August were revised upward to 270,000. Thus, over the last year, an average of 201,000 new jobs were created each month."
"The old NAFTA agreement that created a “giant sucking sound” of manufacturing jobs out of the United States for decades has been replaced with the United States Mexico Canada Agreement, or USMCA. (Spoiler Alert: Reform Party candidate Ross Perot said the same thing in 1992 that POTUS Trump said about NAFTA in 2016)."
"Since President Donald Trump took office, federal employment has declined by 16,000."
"Cardinal Müller told LifeSiteNews he was “bound by Pontifical Secret,” but said that “the Pope’s approval is required for investigations” of a Cardinal. LifeSiteNews informed Müller that some news reports were suggesting he had completed the investigation, rather than the investigation having been interrupted and prevented from continuing. LifeSiteNews asked the cardinal if he would at least go on the record to indicate that the investigation was stopped, rather than completed, and he agreed, “yes."
"Much of this will depend on Pope Francis, since he currently seems to be the Church’s biggest obstacle to tackling the sex abuse crisis head-on. He has repeatedly refused to confirm or deny allegations that he knowingly rehabilitated serial homosexual abuser Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and elevated him to a position of influence in the Vatican."
"The Succession to the Crown Act 2013 allowed heirs to the throne to marry Catholics, among other changes. However, the law still stipulates that the acting British sovereign mustn’t be a Catholic. Catholics have been barred from the English throne since the Act of Settlement 1701."
"It won’t surprise some that the remarkably well-preserved book once accompanied the relics of a saint who was believed to be “incorrupt,” St. Cuthbert, who was once bishop of Lindesfarne. The hermit monk’s body was found to be incorrupt over a decade after his passing in 687, in Northumbria, according to JSTOR. When word of this amazing fact spread, the faithful came to venerate the body and leave offerings at his tomb. One of those offerings, a Latin manuscript of the Gospel According to St. John, was slipped into his coffin sometime around 698."
My guardian dear: Guardian angels in action - "Catholics are not required to give credence to these "beings of light," and you don't see many bumper stickers reading "Honk if you believe in angels." Yet these traditions are hardly new and not solely the province of the Judeo-Christian lexicon. Greeks, Celts, Armenians, and Japanese, among others, have their versions of spiritual guides assigned at birth. In the Bible there are hundreds of references, from the Garden of Eden to Jacob's Ladder to the Annunciation and the temptations of Christ. Moses was specifically promised a guardian angel by God."
"Back in 1889 Pope Leo XIII asked that a prayer to St. Joseph be added after the Rosary during the month of October. He did this in his encyclical Quam pluries. Recitation of the prayer “Ad te, beate Ioseph” can now obtain, under the usual conditions, a partial indulgence."
"Padre Pio responded: “The day that people lose their horror for abortion will be the most terrible day for humanity. Abortion is not only a homicide but also a suicide. Shouldn’t we have the courage to manifest our faith before those who commit two crimes within one act?"
"All of this feels awkward. It touches some of our oldest training against criticizing Popes, bishops, and clergy. In times like these, we need a Catherine Benincasa. We know her as St. Catherine of Siena. Though renowned for her love, generosity, and humility, as well as her power to heal, console, and cast out demons, she was no shrinking violet. If she saw something in your soul that was unholy, you were going to hear about it, no matter who you were."
"Perhaps the best reflection of our experience that Sunday was considering those filling the pews at St. Francis de Sales. It was not a tiny group of elderly people who remember how beautiful Mass was back in the 1950s, but rather a very mixed demographic that included several young families, and there were 200 or more in attendance. The fact of the matter is, the Old Mass has become new again, rediscovered by a new generation who will appreciate it..."
"Poll finds steep rise in those ranking China the most threatening country to inter-Korean peace, while 91 per cent believe it does not want reunification."
"There are 63 metropolitan areas in the U.S. (out of 382 total) that saw their populations grow by 10 percent or more from 2010 through mid-2017, according to estimates compiled by the Census Bureau. That compares with an increase of 5.5 percent for the nation as a whole, and 6.5 percent for its metropolitan areas — which, just to be clear on what we’re talking about, are defined as “one or more counties that contain a city of 50,000 or more inhabitants, or contain a Census Bureau-defined urbanized area and have a total population of at least 100,000 (75,000 in New England).”
"By a two-to-one margin, American Catholics now give Francis negative marks for his handling of the sex abuse scandal."
Baldisseri reproves Chaput, says abuse crisis won’t stop synod success - "The secretary general of an upcoming synod of bishops said Monday he thinks the abuse scandal in the Catholic Church will not be a hindrance to the success of the meeting. He also criticized the recent decision of an American archbishop to publish a theologian’s critique of the synod’s working document."
"September 21 column by Chaput that included a 1,300 word critique of the Instrumentem Laboris, the synod’s working document, sent to Chaput by a “respected North American theologian” and published anonymously in his article....In addition, the theologian claimed “there are other serious theological concerns, including: a false understanding of the conscience and its role in the moral life; a false dichotomy proposed between truth and freedom; false equivalence between dialogue with LGBT youth and ecumenical dialogue; and an insufficient treatment of the abuse scandal.”
"Not only did Re, a long-time curial insider, voice disapproval for McCarrick’s appointment as Archbishop of Washington in 2000, but, according to Viganò, he allegedly also knew about sanctions imposed against the American prelate, and communicated those to certain curial officials, including Viganò himself."
He called himself a witness “of shocking facts,” and said he believed very grave harm could be avoided “only by divulging the truth.”
Church Notes: A Mystical Perspective- “In cases which concern private revelations, it is better to believe than not to believe, for if you believe, and it is proven true, you will be happy that you have believed, because your Holy Mother asked it. If you believe, and it should be proven false, you will receive all blessings as if it had been true, because you believed it to be true.”
---Pope Urban VIII (1623-1644)
"Here’s 12 quotes about humility by the saints that are sure to inspire you in your journey to holiness and help you ward off evil."
"Archbishop Vigano made specific allegations of corruption. Francis refuses to answer any of them. Francis is ducking responsibility. Francis has still not said a word about the Cardinal McCarrick affair. He is stonewalling. This is not the behavior of a man who is interested in transparency and accountability when it comes to the predatory or otherwise."
"The silence of Pope Francis is dividing Catholics."
"The crisis of leadership in the Catholic Church is protracted, persistent, and global. It is already almost unbearably awful in its details, and has barely begun to be reported. What follows is neither reportage — except incidentally — nor analysis, strictly speaking — but commentary, and it is personal."
"Catholics believe in God but not in the Church’s leadership, Miami Archbishop Thomas Wenski acknowledged to his priests last week. The clerical sex abuse crisis in the Catholic Church is a “crisis of leadership,” Wenski said in a September 18 homily, versus "a crisis of faith" or "mainly about a crisis of sexual abuse by clergy." "Our people still do believe in God, but they don't believe in us," the archbishop said. "Of course they're supposed to believe in the Lord, not us. But if we are going to lead them - as bishops, as pastors and parish priests - they need to be able to trust us."
"Here is a link to a 10-minute on-camera Church Militant interview with Father Paul Kalchik, the Chicago priest who is now in hiding after being tossed from his parish by Cardinal Blase Cupich. Kalchik lost his position after presiding over the burning of a rainbow flag that had a cross stitched on it. In the early 1990s, the gay pastor of Resurrection parish hung it over the altar as a sign that the parish was gay-friendly. After Kalchik and fellow parishioners ritually disposed of the flag recently, the cardinal ordered him removed from the parish, and allegedly commanded him to go to St. Luke’s, a mental health treatment center best known for treating clerical pederasts."
"That’s what I feel is happening with clerical sex abuse, cover-ups, and homosexual harassment in Catholic seminaries. It’s happening right in front of us. But how many of us are doing anything about it? Each day, it seems, we learn something new and appalling. It seems that the faction of cardinals who promoted, then elected Pope Francis, and the cardinals he named himself, are particularly awful...
"The populist Sweden Democrats won so many votes in the country’s recent elections that they won more seats in local governments than they had candidates to fill them. The popularity of the Sweden Democrats is due to their stance on Muslim migration. Sweden has been in crisis and on the verge of civil war since it has been inundated with Muslim migrants. No-go zones, many like war zones, have sprung up, even in a popular mall; Sharia patrols have appeared and crime has skyrocketed. Despite the crisis, Sweden’s globalist politicians refuse to act responsibly toward its citizens, going so far, in fact, as to rebuke anti-migration Hungary for invoking Sweden as an example of failed mass migration policies."
"It not even necessary to mention that Allah plays a central point in Islam and the life of Muslims in all Muslim nations. Muslims without a shred of evidence consider Allah to be the creator of all things in the universe. The Muslims’ God, Allah, occupies the most sanctified place in Islam. Knowing or understanding who or what Allah is, therefore, is critical to the understanding of Islam."
"It's a rare papal slight that receives a public airing — and this one was aimed directly at Philadelphia's Archbishop Charles J. Chaput. But Pope Francis' purported reproach of the region's top Catholic as too "right-wing" — as stated this weekend in a public letter penned by one of the pontiff's most vocal critics — offered more than just an unusual glimpse into the Vatican's dirty laundry."
"Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput publishes wide-ranging criticism of the Instrumentum Laboris for upcoming Youth Synod, says it comes close to heresies of naturalism, Lutheranism, and relativism."
"When tempted, invoke your Angel.
He is more eager to help you than you are to be helped! Ignore the devil and do not be afraid of him: he trembles and flees at the sight of your Guardian Angel."
----St. John Bosco
“There was the shadow outline of a man in my room, darker than the dark of my room. He was standing near my bed and he had red burning coals for eyes. My mind was frozen with terror, and without thinking the words came out of my mouth, “I know who you are!’ His dark arm pointed toward me and the sheets flew up around me and in an instant trussed me like a straight-jacket or a mummy; I felt myself lifted above the bed —perhaps several feet? — and swung slowly sideways."
“Aldi said he had been scared and often cried when adrift. Every time he saw a large ship, he said he was hopeful, but more than 10 ships had passed him, none of them stopped,” Fajar Firdaus, a diplomat, said, according to reports."
"A clip used to repair damaged heart valves sharply reduced deaths among patients with a grim prognosis."
"Nevertheless, after the dark season of winter comes spring, and we pray that the difficulties of the present time will be surpassed by the victories to come. Trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ, we have full confidence that the light of the Holy Trinity will break through this present darkness revealing the full beauty of our beloved Church."
"A secret agreement keeps Catholics in China and around the world in the dark about whatever compromises the Vatican has made. Even worse, it also allows the Communist authorities to misrepresent the agreement to the Chinese faithful in whichever way they choose. They will surely use the borrowed authority of the Vatican to undermine the faith of believers in China in their own Church."
"The report most notably includes an interview with an abuse survivor from Argentina who says she was one of a group of victims who wrote to Francis shortly after his election, but never received a reply. The woman, Julieta Añazco, says she was sexually abused by a priest when she was seven years old. She said that in 2013, shortly after Pope Francis was elected, she and 13 other victims wrote to him to describing what had happened. They sent the letter by recorded delivery and, three weeks later, received a confirmation of receipt. However, they never received a reply."
"This is how Francis-church handles the explosive clergy sex abuse scandals: They employ gestapo tactics against a good and holy priest who also happens to be a sex abuse victim, both as a child and as a seminarian," Ms. Yore said in an email to me. "Is this the Francis-church of mercy? Rather, this is the action of a tyrannical and callous cardinal who is roundly disliked and scoffed at by Chicago archdiocesan priests for his bully stunts, like this one. "Catholics are fed up with good and holy priests being persecuted by the hierarchy. Unfortunately, Cardinal Cupich just opened 'a rabbit hole.'"

"But for critics loath to share any of the church’s authority with an authoritarian government, the deal marked a shameful retreat and the setting of a dangerous precedent for future relations with other countries."
Commentary: Bono is not "hip" nor "cool." He promoted abortion in Ireland, therefore his opinions and views mean nothing, and he is certainly not a true Christian. vtb
"On the morning of 20th September 1918, Saint Pio of Pietrelcina received the sacred Stigmata of Christ. He describes the incident thus: 'It all happened in a flash.'"
Commentary: Is it the work of the devil to attack our bishops or are the sins of our bishops being exposed by the Holy Spirit? Is excusing their sins the way to heal the Church? vtb
"St. John Bosco was a holy teacher who loved his students, and, by his love, many souls were saved. But not all the souls Don Bosco loved were receptive of that love. And this can be the hardest part of a teacher’s vocation."
"The Church was opening its windows to the firestorm of sexual liberation and now we can see the result. The crisis of faith and morals was inevitable and it will continue until the root cause is identified and addressed."
"According to him it is a heresy to place Christ the Teacher of Divine Truth in opposition to Christ the Good Shepherd. Müller's words contradict Francis who claimed “clericalism” to be the root of the abuse crisis, implying that "clericalism" affects only homosexuals and pedophiles."
Commentary: Playing politics instead of being a spiritual leader has consequences, as does remaining silent when damaging accusations that cause scandal are made against you. vtb
Commentary: Innocent until proven guilty also applies to our clergy. vtb
Commentary: Still dangerous, although liberal Democrats remain blind to their threats. vtb
